Elden Ring: Incantation Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

An Elden Ring Incantation is required for channeling the power of the gods by any Faith-based build.

These divine spells can be found in hidden prayerbooks or gifted by legendary NPCs in the Nightreign DLC expansion.

They are used for healing, buffing your weapons, and unleashing holy fire upon your enemies.

Essential Early-Game Incantations

Securing these early is important for surviving the initial challenges of the Lands Between:

• Flame Sling & Heal: Both are bought from Brother Corhyn at the Roundtable Hold. They are the basic spells for any new Prophet or Confessor.
• Bestial Sling: Obtained by giving one Deathroot to Gurranq, Beast Clergyman in the Bestial Sanctum (Caelid). This is a top choice for fast-casting physical damage.
• Flame, Grant Me Strength: Found on a corpse between two flamethrower tanks at Fort Gael (Caelid). This is used to boost your physical and fire attack power simultaneously.
• Lightning Spear: Found by giving the Dragonbolt Prayerbook (dropped by a Leyndell Knight in Liurnia) to a learned cleric. It remains the best method for reliable ranged damage.

Legendary and DLC Spells

These high-level incantations are great for handling the game's toughest bosses:

• Golden Vow: Found in the Corpse-Stench Shack (Mt. Gelmir). This is a must-have buff that increases defense and attack for you and your allies.
• Rotten Breath: Bought at the Cathedral of Dragon Communion (Caelid) using a Dragon Heart. It is widely considered the best for cheesing difficult bosses with Scarlet Rot.
• Aspects of the Crucible: Bloom (DLC): Found in the Rauh Ancient Ruins. This is a great source of holy AOE damage in the Realm of Shadow.
• Heal from Afar (DLC): Found in the Scadu Altus near a gold-lit tree. It is great when looking for ranged healing in co-op play.

2026 Nightreign: Limveld & Nightglow Faith

The 2026 Nightreign update introduces Night-Aspect Incantations that utilize the new "Nightglow" damage type in the Limveld region.

• Limveld Locations: During a Shifting Earth event, new prayerbooks like the Shadow-Stitched Tome appear in the Forsaken Hollows. These are the only ways to learn spells that ignore spectral defenses.
• The Scholar's Sight: If you are playing the Scholar class, using your "Arcane Sight" will reveal hidden scripts on the walls of the Nightreign Castle Library.
