Crimson Desert: Stable Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

There are 8 Stables in Crimson Desert — horse management facilities in every major settlement across Pywel.

They handle everything that keeps your mount battle-ready: registering new horses, healing injured ones, retrieving mounts left across the map, and switching between breeds in your collection.

Every Stable is documented on MapMaster's maps and included in our Crimson Desert guide hub.

What Services Do Stables Offer?

Every Stable provides four core services through its manager:

  • Register horse — permanently adds a tamed or stolen mount to your collection.
  • Retrieve and Heal — summons your horse from anywhere on the map and restores its health fully in exchange for Copper or Silver, depending on injury severity.
  • Switch mount — swap which registered horse you're currently riding.
  • Sell horse — available but rarely worthwhile for tamed mounts. Selling stolen horses at appropriate vendors yields more.

For horse equipment — saddles, horseshoes, champrons, and bardings — visit a Saddlery. That's a separate service type from Stables.

Registration: Why You Must Register Every Horse

Riding a horse is not the same as owning it. A horse only becomes yours permanently after you register it at a stable.

Any tamed or stolen horse that isn't registered is lost permanently if you dismount and walk away. After taming a wild horse, ride it directly to the nearest Stable, pay the registration fee, and name it.

Once registered, it's accessible from any Stable merchant on the map regardless of where you left it.

Healing and Retrieving Your Horse

If your horse is injured or stranded across the map, open the Retrieve and Heal option at any Stable. The manager summons it back and restores full health in exchange for a small silver fee.

One important note: a horse retrieved remotely arrives with zero stamina and needs a brief rest before reaching full speed. Don't retrieve and immediately sprint into a boss encounter.

Alternative healing methods include horse tonics and carrots from your inventory, or Force Palm: Healing, once that ability is unlocked.

Levelling Up Horse Trust: Fastest Method

Every horse starts at Trust Level 1 and caps at Level 5. Three methods build trust: petting (focus with CTRL/LB, then press R — daily cap applies), feeding horse-specific items from your inventory, and riding, which is the slowest passive method.

Each Trust Level unlocks skills, and different breeds unlock different skill sets at Level 5.

The fastest levelling method uses a reset trick discovered by the community: pet your horse five times to hit the daily cap, then open the Retrieve option at a nearby Stable and immediately back out without retrieving.

This resets the daily pet counter. Pet five times again, repeat. The retrieval interaction is what resets the cap — you don't need to actually call the horse back.

Stock up on horse feed (hay, sugarbeet, sugar cubes) from any Saddlery and combine petting resets with feeding sessions for the quickest path to Level 5.

All 8 Stable Locations

Hernand has three: Merton at the Hernand Stable (outside the western city walls), Oswin at the Calphade Stable (south of Calphade Training Field), and Ed, who unlocks after completing the A Rumor at the Goldleaf Trading Post faction quest.

Demeniss has one in the northern part of the city run by Levald.

The Crimson Desert region has two: Faisal, close to the Varnia city entrance, and Sora on the east side of Tommaso.

Pailune has one in the camp west of the main gate. Delesyia has one south of the Castle.

All 8 Stable locations are marked on the Hernand interactive map (3 stables: Merton, Oswin, Ed), Demeniss map guide, Delesyia interactive map, Pailune region map, and Crimson Desert region guide (2 stables: Faisal and Sora), and can be accessed via the checklist below.
