Crimson Desert: Axe Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

There are 12 Axes in Crimson Desert, split between one-handed variants for dual-wielding and two-handed heavy hitters for stagger damage.

They're Kliff's primary option for crowd control — axes deliver slower but heavier hits than swords, making them the preferred choice when you're outnumbered and need to break enemy groups apart rather than duel single targets.

One-Handed vs Two-Handed

One-handed axes — including the Bekker Axe, Kylus Axe, Maeve Axe, and Ring of the Earth — can be equipped in either the main or off-hand slot.

Placing two one-handed weapons in both slots activates dual-wield mode instantly with no additional skill unlock or crafting required.

The dual-wield moveset is fixed regardless of which pair you choose. Two-handed axes — including the Double-Headed Axe of Greed and the Crow Brothers' Axe — sacrifice speed for significantly more serious single-hit damage and stagger potential, making them effective against armoured enemies and bosses.

The Bekker Axe — Your First Dual-Wield Setup

The Bekker Axes are two axes at 12 ATK each, obtainable during the prologue as Kliff travels with his Greymane companions — the earliest dual-wield weapons available and the ones that immediately unlock the dual-wield combat system.

You can find them next to wooden crates on top of the waterfall in Hernand. Additional spawn locations exist around Three Saints' Falls and along the path to Sebastian's house during the Unknown Space main quest.

The Weapon Quick-Swap System

Crimson Desert never clearly explains that you can equip multiple weapon loadouts and switch between them mid-combat using Quick Swap.

Hold left on the D-pad (controller) or press F2 (PC) to open the radial menu and cycle loadouts.

Axes work best as a mob-clearing secondary — equip the Bekker Axes for crowd situations and switch to a sword-and-shield for duels or tighter encounters.

How Axes Are Acquired

The 12 axes in this guide come from three sources.

Most are world pickups — stuck in the ground, leaning against tree stumps, or left on crates at camps and landmarks.

Two — the Maeve Axe and Lambert Axe — are random enemy drops from Blinding Arrow enemies at Deepwoods Beacon and Bloodsteel Camp, respectively.

One Ring of the Earth spawn is flagged as theft-only — approach undetected or use a mask.
