Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced: Wild Pig Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Wild Pigs in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced are the boars found in the forests and clearings of four Caribbean islands — hunted for Wild Pig Hide, the crafting material needed for the Pistol Ammo Pouch I upgrade, and the animal responsible for the "Matador" (Bronze) trophy.

All Wild Pig spawn locations are included alongside all other Fauna on Map Master's Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced maps.

Wild Pig Hide: Pistol Ammo Pouch I and Masterwork Blades

Pistol Ammo Pouch I — the primary crafting use for Wild Pig Hide. Crafting this upgrade increases Edward's maximum pistol ammunition capacity, allowing more pistol shots before needing to restock. This is the first upgrade in the Pistol Ammo Pouch chain and unlocks after the crafting system opens in "This Tyro Captain" (Sequence 3).

Masterwork Blades (Legendary Rapier) — purchased from the Treasure Dealer at Great Inagua for 5,000 Reales + 6 Wild Pig Hide + 4 Rabbit Pelt + 30 Aloe. The most material-intensive use of Wild Pig Hide and the only one requiring bulk accumulation.

Alternative: At the fully upgraded Great Inagua General Store, Wild Pig Hide can be purchased for 3 Bones each — the same cost as Iguana Leather, and cheap enough for anyone with a Bone surplus from other animal hunts.

The Exotic Sea Shells Trinket doubles yield per kill (2 hides instead of 1).

The Matador Trophy: Dodge Three Charge Attacks

"Matador" (Bronze) — dodge a total of three Wild Pig charge attacks. Wild Pigs are not immediately hostile — they will flee or ignore Edward until provoked.

Approach a Wild Pig, get close enough to trigger aggression, and wait for the red charge indicator to appear. Dodge sideways the moment it appears. Repeat three times in any combination across any number of Wild Pigs — the three dodges do not need to be consecutive and do not need to come from the same pig.

Cape Bonavista is the recommended location: multiple Wild Pigs in the southern clearing, easily accessible after "This Tyro Captain," and the first island players return to for story-gated hunts.

Deliberately don't dodge one charge to reset the pig's aggression and trigger the next charge cycle. The trophy accumulates across the full playthrough — any three dodges from any Wild Pig on any island count.

Huntable Wild Pig vs Friendly Pig

The Wild Pigs tracked in this guide are hunted for crafting materials — approached and killed for Wild Pig Hide and Bone.

These are distinct from the friendly Pig found in settlement paddocks at Kingston and Cat Island, which counts as one of the 8 interactions required for the "Friend To All" (Bronze) trophy.

The friendly pig is fed by interacting with it in its paddock, not hunted.

Early Hunting Locations

Cape Bonavista — multiple Wild Pigs in the southern clearing. Story-gated: Wild Pigs do not spawn during the prologue first visit. Return after completing "This Tyro Captain" (Sequence 3) when fast travel unlocks. The earliest confirmed spawn and the recommended Matador trophy location.

Nassau — at least two Wild Pigs in the northwestern forest clearing. Accessible as soon as the story arrives at Nassau during "Now Hiring."

Mariguana Island — several Wild Pigs on the southeastern side. Mid-game island accessible during open Caribbean exploration. Must hunt at least one for Mariguana Island 100% completion.

Great Inagua — Wild Pigs confirmed on Great Inagua alongside the Iguana and White Jaguar spawns. Accessible from Sequence 4. A convenient combined animal farming stop alongside the nearby Ocelot and Iguana spawns in the same region.
