Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced: Tavern Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Taverns in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced are the 11 drinking establishments across the Caribbean — the social anchors of every settlement where Edward Kenway can challenge locals to board games, start (or finish) a brawl, and earn two distinct trophies in the same building.

The Universal Tavern Mechanic: Drink and Brawl

Every Tavern that counts toward 100% completion (all except the two story-automatic ones) requires the same activation sequence: approach the bar, buy a drink, and defeat the enemies who appear.

This triggers a street brawl with 5 enemies — win it, and the Tavern is permanently marked as complete on the tracker. Only after this brawl do the minigame tables (Checkers, Nine-Man Morris, Fanorona) become accessible inside.

Taverns revealed by Viewpoint synchronisation will appear on the map immediately, but they won't register as complete until the drink-and-brawl sequence is triggered. Simply visiting is not enough.

Two Trophies From One Tavern Visit

"Grandmaster" (Silver) — win one game of each of the three tavern mini-games: Checkers, Nine-Man Morris, and Fanorona. Only the 1-star difficulty is required.

The easiest confirmed 1-star locations are Salt Key Bank (Nine-Man Morris, coordinates 467, 605), Andreas Island (Checkers, 543, 697), and Crooked Island (Fanorona, 777, 520).

If the opponent isn't present at the table, buy a drink at the bar — enemies spawn, the brawl unlocks the table, and a game opponent then appears.

"Davy Jones' Locker" (Bronze) — buy 5 drinks in a row at any Tavern without leaving the bar.

Edward automatically blacks out after the fifth drink and wakes up face-down in a haystack somewhere nearby.

This can be done at any Tavern immediately after the initial brawl — the Nassau Tavern is the most conveniently timed option, available during "Now Hiring" in Sequence 3 when both Taverns and their associated activities first become accessible.

Early Game Taverns

• Havana Tavern — central Havana. Discovered automatically during the "Lively Havana" quest (Sequence 2). Story-automatic — no brawl needed to unlock.

• Nassau Tavern — central Nassau. Discovered automatically during the "Now Hiring" quest (Sequence 3). Story-automatic — no brawl needed. This is also where the three Nassau Local Events (Local Event guide) unlock simultaneously.

• Salt Key Bank Tavern — southeastern Salt Key Bank. Buy a drink and defeat the ruffians to unlock. Hosts the Nine-Man Morris 1-star table (467, 605) for the Grandmaster trophy — the most convenient single-stop for both the brawl completion and the trophy game.

• Andreas Island Tavern — western Andreas Island. Buy a drink and defeat the ruffians to unlock. Hosts the Checkers 1-star table (543, 697) for the Grandmaster trophy.

• Great Inagua Tavern — Great Inagua docks. Unlike every other Tavern, this one must be restored first for 100 Reales via the Old Cove Tavern Upgrade before it becomes functional. Restoring it also unlocks the Fisherman's Wharf at Great Inagua (alongside the Harbourmaster upgrade), which doubles the yield from harpooned sea animals.

The remaining 6 Taverns are found across Grand Cayman, Arroyos, Corozal, Crooked Island, Kingston, and Tortuga.

Crooked Island's Tavern notably hosts the Fanorona 1-star table (777, 520) — the third and hardest of the Grandmaster trophy games. The Grand Cayman Tavern is also required before the Yoke-Form Vessel Art Piece chest at coordinates 357, 298 becomes accessible.
