Yooka-Replaylee: Tonic Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Yooka-Replaylee features 35 gameplay-modifying Tonics — equippable items that change how the game plays, how it looks, or how difficult it is. Every Tonic is purchased rather than found in the world, from two vendors whose positions across all six areas are documented on the Yooka-Replaylee interactive maps. What Tonics Are in Yooka-Replaylee

Tonics — officially called Play-Tonics — divide into three functional types.

• Stat and gameplay upgrades provide genuine mechanical benefits: Hearty adds three extra hearts, Greater Glide extends glide duration, Reptile Rampage makes Reptile Roll damage enemies, Quill Magnet auto-collects nearby Quills, and Cashing In doubles Q.U.I.D.S collected.

• Challenge modifiers make the game harder: Reaper-Laylee reduces health to one heart, Fall Damage adds environmental damage, Breathless limits underwater time, and Tough Luck requires more hits to defeat enemies.

• Visual and audio modifiers change how the game looks and sounds without affecting difficulty: Octobit renders everything in 8-bit, Tune Squad swaps the soundtrack to the original Yooka-Laylee music, EYES!!! adds googly eyes to all enemies, Monochrome removes colour, and Pocket Power applies retro handheld graphics.

Multiple Tonics can be equipped simultaneously — the number of active Tonic slots can be increased by purchasing Tonic slot Upgrades from Trowzer and Vendi. The Trophy guide includes a trophy for equipping 5 Tonics simultaneously.

Two Vendors, Two Currencies

Trowzer sells utility-focused Tonics for Quills in each Grand Tome world. These are typically the most mechanically useful:

• Quill Magnet (auto-collect Quills, 35 Quills in Glitterglaze Glacier),
• Magnet Magnate (Tail Twirl sucks up Q.U.I.D.S, 25 Quills in Moodymaze Marsh),
• Spinfinite (unlimited spinning, 20 Quills in Capital Cashino),
• Cashing In (double Q.U.I.D.S collected, 20 Quills in Galleon Galaxy).

Prioritising Cashing In as soon as Galleon Galaxy is accessible is widely recommended — the doubled Q.U.I.D.S income makes the 10,000 Q.U.I.D.S required for all Cosmetics far more manageable.
