Yooka-Replaylee: Pirate Treasure Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Pirate Treasures — also called Pirate Skulls — are the most elusive collectibles in Yooka-Replaylee. There are exactly 5 across the entire game, one hidden in each Grand Tome world, all tucked into obscure locations that most players walk past without realising anything is there.

Finding all 5 unlocks the Skele Tour trophy and unlocks exclusive Cosmetics at Vendi's Emporium — including the Collector's Jacket, Collector's Pirate Pants, and Collector's Medallion, all of which cost 0 Q.U.I.D.S once unlocked.

What Pirate Treasures Are in Yooka-Replaylee

Unlike Mollycools and Play Coins, Pirate Treasures don't need to be delivered to an NPC. They're collected directly from the world and register automatically.

No interaction, no delivery, no follow-up step — find them and they're yours. One Pirate Treasure per Grand Tome world, none in Hivory Towers.

Why Pirate Treasures Are the Hardest Collectibles in the Game

Three things make Pirate Treasures consistently harder to find than Pagies, Quills, or Ghost Writers.

1. First, they're placed in areas that aren't on any obvious path — not adjacent to a notable landmark, not visible from the main route.
2. Second, several require specific abilities or transformations that players may not think to use in those spots.
3. Third, they share no visual marker system with other collectibles — there's no ambient glow, no proximity hint, no NPC pointing toward them. Every single one relies on knowing precisely where to look.

All 5 Pirate Treasure Locations in Yooka-Replaylee

• Tribalstack Tropics — inside a hidden room halfway up the exterior temple wall. The room has no visible entrance from the ground. While ascending the temple, look for a cluster of smashable wooden boxes on the wall and break them in the air — this reveals the hidden room and the Pirate Treasure inside.

• Glitterglaze Glacier — on a ledge at the back of the tower, reachable only by air. Use one of the Flight Bombs nearby to ascend to the ledge — the Flight Bomb's position is cross-linked in the checklist entry. The ledge isn't visible from the tower's ground level and sits behind the structure rather than on its accessible face.

• Moodymaze Marsh — on top of the tallest chimney of a building in the marsh. Climb to the roof from the ground, then find the smaller chimney nearby and Buddy Slam it. This releases a hot air stream — glide into the stream, and it will carry you up to the Pirate Treasure on the tallest chimney above.

• Capital Cashino — at the bottom face of the large dice sculpture above the casino entrance. The only way to reach it is from above, using the helicopter transformation obtained from Dr. Puzz after delivering the Mollycool. Without the helicopter, this Pirate Treasure is completely inaccessible, regardless of how well the surrounding area is explored on foot.

• Galleon Galaxy — on top of the large glove above the arena, accessible only after completing Schell's mission first. Once the arena is open, find the Flight Bomb inside the nearby outhouse — its position is cross-linked in the checklist entry — and use it to fly up to the glove above. Attempting this before completing Schell's quest means the arena area isn't accessible.
