The Precinct: Plaque Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

In The Precinct, Plaques are the game's purest lore collectible — small bronze noticeboards mounted on landmarks and historic buildings across Averno City, each offering a short piece of the city's history.

There are 20 Plaques in total, split evenly 10 in Western Averno and 10 in Eastern Averno.

Reading all 20 unlocks the Historian trophy. All 20 locations are documented on our Precinct interactive map.

Unlike Any Other Collectible: No Detector, No XP

Plaques stand apart from every other collectible type in the game in two important ways.

Unlike Artifacts or Rare Vehicles, Plaques are never marked on the map, before or after being found — there's no icon to chase down and no way to visually track remaining locations without an external guide.

Reaching Rank 16 unlocks detectors for other collectible types, but no equivalent ability exists for Plaques. Reading a Plaque also awards zero XP — this collectible exists purely for the Historian trophy and the lore itself, with no gameplay incentive beyond that.

Where Plaques Are Found

Plaques are consistently placed near landmark buildings and points of civic or historic interest — the ACPD Precinct itself, Averno City's Museum of Local History, St. Harry's Hospital, Founder's Bank, the Colosseum, and Serenity Park all host one.

Look near building entrances, loading docks, alcoves in statues, or mounted on walls facing a street sign — several Plaques sit beside speed limit signs or other environmental landmarks that make them easier to spot once the pattern is recognised.

A Useful Connection: Plaques and Artifact Clues

Several riddles used to unlock Artifact Safeboxes reference dates found on nearby Plaques as part of their 4-digit code puzzle.

Reading Plaques thoroughly while exploring a district doesn't just progress the Historian trophy — it also provides genuine, usable information for cracking Artifact Clue codes encountered in the same area, making a combined sweep of both collectibles more efficient than hunting them separately.

A Tip for Thorough Exploration

Since Plaques have no map marker or detector, the most reliable method is a slow, deliberate sweep of each district — checking the front and back of every landmark building rather than assuming a Plaque sits only on the most obvious wall.

Several Plaques have been relocated slightly by post-launch patches, so if a Plaque isn't where expected, checking the opposite wall of the same building or structure often resolves it.
