The Precinct: Fire Hydrant Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

In The Precinct, Fire Hydrants aren't collectibles in the traditional sense — they're landmark markers used to identify one of the most common parking violations an officer can issue tickets for across Averno City.

There are 104 Fire Hydrant locations scattered throughout the city, several of which have two hydrants at a single site.

All 104 are included on our interactive The Precinct map, helping officers systematically patrol every district for vehicles blocking emergency access.

How Parking Violations Work

Vehicles parked too close to a Fire Hydrant, alongside other violations — parked on the sidewalk, facing the wrong direction of traffic, blocking a crosswalk, sitting in a no-parking zone, or left at an expired Parking Meter — are all valid targets for an officer to issue a ticket.

Approach the offending vehicle on foot and interact with it to write the citation. Choosing a Foot Patrol or the dedicated Parking Violation patrol type at the start of a shift makes spotting these violations significantly easier than working from a squad car, and completing tickets within a designated Parking Violation shift grants an additional XP bonus per valid citation.

Three Trophies Tied to Parking Tickets

  • Ruined Their Day — issue 3 valid parking violation tickets. The easiest of the three, often completed naturally during Day 2 of the story, which specifically introduces the mechanic with three staged vehicles: one blocking a Fire Hydrant, one at an expired meter, and one parked on the sidewalk.

  • Fine Work — issue 10 valid parking violation tickets within a single shift. Shift timers can be ignored once started — tickets issued after the initial countdown ends still count, so there's no need to rush.

  • The Most Hated Person in Averno City — issue 50 valid parking violation tickets across any number of shifts. The most time-consuming of the three, best tackled gradually during regular patrol shifts rather than as a dedicated grind.

Why Fire Hydrants Specifically Matter for the Hunt

Since Fire Hydrants themselves don't need to be "found" or interacted with directly, their value for completionists lies in predicting where violation-worthy vehicles are likely to spawn.

Checking known Fire Hydrant locations during a Parking Violation patrol shift is one of the most reliable ways to consistently locate valid tickets across the city, rather than relying on random encounters while driving.
