Radio Broadcasts are interactive radios scattered across Silent Hill f's version of Ebisugaoka — 9 in total across all three required playthroughs, each crackling with transmissions that reveal the town's supernatural events from an outside perspective.
Every Radio Broadcast location is marked on the Silent Hill f interactive maps, with playthrough availability and UFO Ending relevance noted per entry.
Radios sit in basements, classrooms, dining rooms, sheds, and hidden crawlspaces throughout Ebisugaoka and Ebisugaoka Middle School.
Most are purely atmospheric — lore transmissions that deepen the world without affecting gameplay. One is mechanically mandatory: the first base-game broadcast is a required step in the UFO Ending sequence. Interacting with a radio and allowing the full transmission to play completes that entry in the guide.
Activating a radio and leaving before the broadcast ends does not register the interaction correctly — confirmed by community testing.
The first Radio Broadcast — found in the basement of a hidden room accessed through an eastern crawl space in the southern canal section of Ebisugaoka, shortly after the Fog Monster chase — is the only broadcast required for the Great Space Invasion! trophy and the UFO Ending.
The transmission discusses a bridge outside town destroyed by an unidentified object.
Finding it requires entering a narrow alleyway marked by a light, climbing under rubble, descending to a basement, and interacting with the radio in the back.
Its exact location is marked on the Ebisugaoka map. Listen to the full broadcast before leaving — partial interactions don't satisfy the UFO Ending condition.
After the broadcast, continue the campaign normally until the third visit to Ebisugaoka. At that point, interact with the three Movie Posters in the correct order to progress toward the fifth ending. Only the first broadcast is required — all others in the guide are optional lore.
The most distinctive feature of the Radio Broadcast system is its dynamic lore content in NG+ and NG++.
A second Ebisugaoka NG+ broadcast — found next to the locked door on the second floor — carries a note that explains the mechanic directly: the first crawl-space broadcast always plays the same alien-bridge message in any NG+ or NG++ file, but all subsequent broadcasts vary based on how many endings have been collected.
If only Ending 1 has been achieved, and NG+ is started, certain broadcasts activate and carry messages tied to that ending stack.
After Ending 2 is achieved and NG++ begins, the active broadcasts and their messages change again. The broadcasts accumulate context with each ending, functioning as a lore system that rewards multiple playthroughs with an evolving picture of Ebisugaoka's events as seen from outside the fog.
One NG+ broadcast in Ebisugaoka Middle School — on a cabinet in the back of a classroom — is available for lore but explicitly flagged in the guide as not required for the UFO Ending.
A third broadcast in Ebisugaoka's shed backyard and a fourth in a cabin are similarly optional NG+ entries.
A single NG++ broadcast — in a corner of a Middle School classroom — extends the lore chain into the third playthrough.

| Radio Broadcast (NG+ and NG++ Only)EbisugaokaRadio Broadcast (NG+ and NG++ Only) | Ebisugaoka | Found next to the locked door on the second floor. The first radio you found in the crawl space will always have the same message about the aliens in any NG+ or NG++ file, but from this point forward, radio broadcasts will vary according to the number of endings that you have collected. Which ones are broadcasting, and the messages they give change as you add each ending to your stack. For example, if you complete the NG ending and check them on NG+, only certain ones will activate. Likewise, if you complete Ending 2 and recheck them in NG++, the ones that are turned on and what they are broadcasting will be different from your NG+ playthrough. Only the first, unchanging broadcast is necessary to obtain the fifth ending. Location Revised By: MessianicMermaid |
