Resident Evil Requiem: Weapon Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Resident Evil Requiem features two distinct weapon systems split between its two playable characters — every firearm, knife, throwable, and environmental weapon is tracked in MapMaster's checklist with exact location, acquisition method, and access conditions.

Grace's Arsenal: What She Carries

Grace Ashcroft works with a smaller and lighter set of firearms than Leon, supplemented by melee knives and throwables. Her two handguns — the B934 (found on the Dining Hall floor, Care Center West Wing) and the S&S M232 (Bar & Lounge counter, Care Center West Wing) — are her primary weapons.

The S&S M232 outclasses the B934 in almost every way: more damage, a larger nine-round magazine, better stability, and faster reloads.

Pick it up at the first opportunity. The Requiem is Grace's most powerful option — high penetration, one-shot most standard enemies — but 12.7x55mm ammo is scarce. Save it for bosses.

Grace's melee options are the Makeshift Knife (craftable, world pickup) and Hunting Knife (enemy drops). Both have limited durability — dismantle them for Scrap when they approach the red state.

On Insanity difficulty, the R.I.P. Knife becomes available: one from the Parlor for 5 Antique Coins, one in the Waiting Room Closet.

The Bottle of Acid is Grace's most powerful throwable in the ARK — every checklist entry for Bottles of Acid carries the note: it instantly kills Lickers on any difficulty, making them the single most efficient tool against the ARK's primary enemy type.

Leon's Arsenal: Firearms and Upgrades

The Silencer 9 is the best handgun Leon can use when fully upgraded, thanks to its balance of good damage, stability, and high capacity. Buy it for 5,500 Credits at the first East Raccoon City Supply Box.

The 990-TAC (7,000 Credits) is the best shotgun — semi-auto and faster than the free MSGB 500. The Marksman 1A has a far superior rate of fire, reload speed, and ammo capacity compared to the Classic 70, holding over 25 rounds against the Classic's 6.

The Classic 70 auto-unlocks on the Care Center Roof during the helicopter cutscene.

The Mortal Edge drops from the Commander boss in the ARK — it surpasses the Hatchet thanks to higher base stats and a much more forgiving parry window.

Leon's Hatchet starts in his inventory and is his default melee parry tool throughout the game.

The Three Must-Get Weapons

• S&S M232 — grab it in the Bar & Lounge as soon as you reach it. Don't attempt to fight the Care Center's second half with only the B934.
• Silencer 9 — buy it with your first Credits from the East Raccoon City Supply Box before spending on anything else.
• Marksman 1A — locked inside BSAA Container 03, East Raccoon City. Contains the best rifle in the game and is worth the BSAA Container route detour. See the BSAA Container guide for the key and access route.

First Playthrough Only: Don't Miss These

The Gal SMG is available only on a first playthrough — found in a silver case in a small room of the Underground Parking Garage, East Raccoon City. In New Game Plus the case is empty.

The Compensator weapon attachment (Care Center Attic closet) is also first-playthrough-only — the case is empty in NG+.

Post-Game Weapons: CP Unlocks

Seven bonus weapons become available from the Special Content menu after completing the game, purchased with Challenge Points:

• Matilda IMP (Leon, 500 CP — burst handgun)
• Ghost Grudge (Leon, 1,000 CP — large-calibre revolver)
• Redemption (Leon, 3,500 CP — break-action pistol)
• Freya's Needle (Grace, 4,000 CP — fast-firing machine pistol)
• Kotetsu (Grace, 5,000 CP — infinite durability knife, the most important unlock for repeat runs)
• Clatter Carabine (Leon, 6,000 CP — sustained fire SMG)
• RPG-7 (Leon, 15,000 CP — boss deletion tool)
