Resident Evil Requiem: Typewriters Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

In Resident Evil Requiem, your progression and safety depend on finding all Typewriter locations. These manual save points are the only way to record your journey from the Care Center all the way to the ARK facility. Unlike modern "auto-save" systems found in other titles, Requiem emphasizes strategic saving, especially on higher difficulties, where your ability to record progress is a finite resource.

Finding these save points is essential for the "The Ol’ Fashioned Way" Achievement (Trophy), which requires you to use an Ink Ribbon to save at a Typewriter.

The functionality of Typewriters changes significantly based on your chosen difficulty level:

• Casual & Standard (Modern): Saving is unlimited. You can record your progress at any Typewriter as often as you like.
• Standard (Classic) & Insanity: Saving requires an Ink Ribbon. These are limited world pickups. You must verify you have a ribbon in your inventory before attempting to save, forcing you to choose between saving now or risking a long trek through hostile territory.

Typewriters are typically found in Safe Rooms—protected zones where enemies cannot enter and where the iconic "Safe Room Theme" provides a brief moment of relief.

If playing on Classic or Insanity, always scan the area immediately surrounding the Typewriter. Developers often place a single "pity" Ink Ribbon nearby to assist players who have run dry. Every Typewriter is paired with an Item Box. Use these save points to manage your inventory and verify that your Med Injectors and Scrap are ready for the next leg of the mission.
