Resident Evil Requiem: Ink Ribbon Tins Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

The Ink Ribbon Tin in Resident Evil Requiem is the cornerstone of Grace Ashcroft’s survival strategy. While standard Ink Ribbons provide a one-time save, these "Empty Tins" are the reusable components that allow Grace to manufacture her own save items using the biological resources of the Care Center.

Finding all Ink Ribbon Tin locations is essential for players on Standard (Classic) and Insanity difficulties, where manual saves are the only way to safeguard progress. Securing a steady supply of these tins allows you to bypass the scarcity of world-spawn ribbons, provided you are diligent with your Blood Collector.

Grace is the only character who can utilize Ink Ribbon Tins. Unlike Leon, who relies on the BSAA's pre-packaged supplies, Grace's survivalist background allows her to synthesize "Emergency Ink":

• Crafting Materials: 1x Empty Ink Ribbon Tin + 40 microsamples of Infected Blood.
• The Process: Once you have a tin and enough blood harvested from fallen foes (Shamblers or Flesh-bound), you can combine them in your inventory to create a functional Ink Ribbon for use at any Typewriter.

Tins are often placed near save points or in maintenance-heavy areas where staff would have stored industrial supplies. Before leaving a main hub (like the Central Hall), verify that you have at least one empty tin in your inventory. You can always harvest blood in the field, but you cannot find tins once you pass a "Point of No Return."

On Insanity difficulty, do not use a Standard Ink Ribbon if you have a Tin and available blood. Save the Standard Ribbons for emergencies and rely on your crafted supply for routine saves.

If your inventory is full, store your Empty Tins in the Item Box. Since every Typewriter is paired with a box, you can pull a tin and craft a ribbon the moment you reach safety.
