Resident Evil Requiem: Ink Ribbons Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

The Resident Evil Requiem Ink Ribbon is your most precious non-combat resource. Finding all Ink Ribbon locations is the only way to safeguard your progress in the Standard (Classic) and Insanity difficulties. Unlike the modern auto-save systems of Leon’s tactical segments, Grace Ashcraft’s journey through the Care Center, Water Treatment Plant, and ARK forces you to manage these limited items at manual typewriter stations.

Securing every ribbon is essential for unlocking "The Ol' Fashioned Way" Trophy, which challenges you to survive using only traditional save mechanics.

In Requiem, saving is a two-tiered system. You will encounter two distinct versions of this resource:

• Standard Ink Ribbons: Ready for immediate use at any typewriter. These are typically found directly adjacent to save points or in high-security rooms.
• Empty Ink Ribbon Tins: These small metallic containers are useless on their own. You must combine an Empty Tin with 40 microsamples of Infected Blood (harvested with the Blood Collector) to craft a functional save item.

On Insanity difficulty, resources are drastically reduced, and enemy damage is lethal. You must follow a strict set of rules to survive:

• Only save after clearing a room of enemies (like Blister Heads), securing a critical Key Item, or unlocking a major shortcut.
• If the manual save system is proving too difficult, you can unlock the Infinite Ink Ribbon by completing the "Speed Demon" challenge (beating the game in under 4 hours). This allows you to save at typewriters as often as you like on any difficulty.
• Always keep at least one crafted Ribbon in your inventory. Grace’s ability to harvest blood means you can "farm" save items if you are diligent with your Blood Collector.
