Resident Evil Requiem: Scrap Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Scrap is the shared crafting base for both Grace Ashcroft and Leon Kennedy in Resident Evil Requiem — the common thread between Grace's Hemolytic Injectors and Leon's entire ammunition supply.

There are 35 confirmed Scrap locations across the Care Center, East Raccoon City, Raccoon City Center, and ARK, documented with exact coordinates across the Resident Evil Requiem interactive maps.

Three entries are Insanity-only spawns in the Care Center — flagged in the guide below.

What is Scrap Used For in Resident Evil Requiem?

Scrap is used by both characters. Grace can break down a Makeshift Knife or a Hunting Knife into Scrap.

Leon uses it as the base ingredient for almost all of his ammunition. Grace uses Scrap for Hemolytic Injectors and Makeshift Knives.

Leon combines it with Gunpowder (Small or Large) to produce every standard ammo type — Handgun Ammo, Shotgun Shells, Rifle Ammo, Machine Gun Ammo, Hand Grenades, and Stacked Hand Grenades.

Grace's Priority: Hemolytic Injectors First

Grace should, by and large, only use Scrap to craft Hemolytic Injectors — on Insanity difficulty, she may also need to craft Empty Bottles.

Hemolytic Injectors are Grace's primary enemy removal tool in the Care Center — they're an instant stealth kill on any standard enemy and prevent Blister Heads from reanimating.

Three injectors are needed for the Chunk boss fight in the East Wing. After that stockpile is secured, remaining Scrap can go toward maintaining knife inventory through Makeshift Knife crafting or be held in the Item Box for emergencies.

Leon's Priority: Craft Immediately on Pickup

For Leon, raw Scrap sitting in his inventory is dead weight — turn it into bullets immediately. That frees up slots and keeps his ammo count healthy at the same time.

Leon has no Item Box, so every carried piece of Scrap that isn't converted is a wasted slot. The moment he picks up Scrap alongside Gunpowder, open the crafting menu before moving on.

How to Get More Scrap: Dismantle Old Knives

Beyond world pickups, both characters can generate Scrap by dismantling damaged knives. Broken knives aren't worthless — dismantle them into Scrap using the crafting menu so damaged gear turns into useful resources instead of hogging inventory space.

When a knife reaches the red durability state, don't wait for it to break — recycle it into Scrap immediately.

For Grace specifically, keeping a couple of pieces of Scrap in the Item Box at all times ensures she always has material for a Makeshift Knife or a quick Hemolytic Injector craft.

• Care Center (22 locations): 19 standard pickups spread across every floor, plus 3 Insanity-only spawns — one replacing a standard pickup in the East Wing, two in the Basement.
• East Raccoon City (6 locations): 5 single-unit and 1 double-unit pickup — the Scrap x2 entry is inside the Applegate Hotel area.
• Raccoon City Center (2 locations): both accessible during Leon's section.
• ARK (5 locations): spread across the operational floors.
