Resident Evil Requiem: Crafting Recipes Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Mastering the innovative crafting systems in Resident Evil 9: Requiem requires a specialized approach, especially when playing as Grace Ashcraft. While Leon Kennedy follows a traditional system—automatically unlocking recipes as he acquires new weapons—Grace must actively conduct biological research to expand her arsenal.

Finding all Crafting Recipe locations is the only way to transform your harvested Infected Blood into the game's most potent munitions and survival tools. Securing every recipe is also a mandatory requirement for the "Master Craftsman" Trophy, which challenges you to craft every possible item in a single playthrough as Leon.

Early in the game, Grace unlocks recipes by finding Blood Specimens and analyzing them via the Laser Microscope minigame found in the Blood Lab. On the highest difficulty, an exclusive Insanity Blood Specimen is hidden within the Records Room. Analyzing it unlocks the recipe for the R.I.P. Knife and bulk Handgun Ammo.

Leon’s system is designed for speed and efficiency. He does not need to solve microscope puzzles; instead, his recipes are added to his inventory as soon as he acquires the relevant materials or firearms:

  • Basic Ammo: Unlocked upon reaching the Wrenwood Hotel.
  • Specialized Ammo: Unlocked immediately after picking up the MSBG 500 Shotgun or the Classic 70 Rifle.
  • Explosives: Recipes for Hand Grenades and Stacked Grenades are available once you find your first unit of Large Gunpowder.

To use these recipes effectively, you must manage your raw resources and tool capacity:

  • Infected Blood: Harvested by Grace using the Blood Collector tool.
  • Rare Metals: Required for the powerful 12.7x55mm (Requiem) ammo; these are found exclusively in locked drawers that require a Lockpick.
  • Scrap & Gunpowder: The primary components for Leon's munitions.
  • Capacity Upgrades: To craft high-tier items like Stabilizers, you should first acquire the Matsuoka Override Manual from the Parlor (requires 6 Antique Coins) to increase your Blood Collector’s storage limit.

Missing even one Blood Specimen can leave you without critical healing or firepower during the game's final descent. To prevent this, we have pinned every Crafting Recipe and Blood Specimen location on our RE9: Requiem Interactive Maps. Our map guides also provide the exact coordinates for the ID Wristbands needed to access locked labs. Use the links below to verify your progress.
