Resident Evil Requiem: Blood Specimens Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide
In Resident Evil 9: Requiem, playing as Grace Ashcroft introduces a deep layer of biological research that is essential for your survival. Unlike Leon, who acquires gear through tactical finds, Grace must locate Blood Specimens and analyze them to unlock her unique Crafting Recipes.
Finding all Blood Specimen locations is the only way to produce high-tier munitions like 12.7x55mm (Requiem) rounds and life-saving Hemolytic Injectors.
Every specimen you find must be taken to a Laser Microscope—typically found in the Blood Lab (1F) or the ARK—to be decoded through a cellular alignment minigame.
There are a total of 6 core Blood Specimens found throughout the Care Center and the ARK on Standard difficulty. For players tackling Insanity Difficulty, the static locations of standard specimens remain the same, but a 7th item, the Primordial Specimen, is added to a secret area. Analyzing this unlocks the recipe for the R.I.P. Knife, the most powerful melee weapon in Grace's arsenal.
Finding the specimen is only the start. To verify the data and unlock the recipe, follow these steps:
- Locate a Laser Microscope marked on your map with a blue beaker icon.
- Place the specimen in the tray.
- Solve the mini-game.
