Resident Evil Requiem: File Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

In Resident Evil 9: Requiem, uncovering the truth behind the Care Center and the mysterious Grace requires a thorough search for all File locations. These documents are far more than flavor text; they provide the essential codes, puzzle clues, and lore needed to navigate the nightmare.

From the desperate scrawls of patients in the Care Center to the high-level security memos in the ARK facility, collecting every file is a mandatory step for players chasing the "Case Closed" Trophy and 100% completion.

Beyond the narrative, many Files contain highlighted text that acts as the primary solution for the game's complex environmental riddles. In Requiem, Files are categorized into several types, each serving a specific mechanical purpose:

Puzzle Clues & Codes: These documents often hide Safe Codes.
Biological Research: Grace's progression often hinges on reading medical reports. These files hint at the weaknesses of specific bio-organic threats, such as which enemies are susceptible to Acid Bottles or Molotov Cocktails.
Historical Lore: These provide the backstory for the Requiem Project and the connection between Leon Kennedy and Grace Ashcraft.
Maps: Certain files (maps), when read, will automatically update your map with points of interest or mark the locations of previously unseen Locked Doors.

Because Files are often just sheets of paper or small notebooks, they can easily blend into the environmental clutter. To find them all, you must investigate:

Workstations and Desks: Check every computer terminal and office desk. Files are frequently left near keyboards or under desk lamps.
Walls and Notice Boards: Don't just look down. Important memos are often pinned to corkboards in the Blood Lab or taped to the doors of patient rooms.
Hidden Alcoves: Some of the most revealing lore is hidden behind breakable environmental objects.
Safe Rooms: Almost every Safe Room contains at least one file that provides context for the upcoming area or a hint for a nearby puzzle.
