Forza Horizon 6 Drag Meets are open-world drag racing strips built directly into Japan's shared world — no menus, no matchmaking, no loading screens.
There are 3 strips at launch, each with a different distance that rewards a different kind of build:
To race, drive up to a grid lane, accept the prompt to ready up, and wait for the synchronized Christmas Tree lights.
Jump the light, and you're disqualified — reaction time is as important as raw car performance here.
Each strip can host up to 12 players simultaneously, with Convoy Leaderboards and weekly in-world leaderboards tracking the fastest times across different PI classes.
Leaderboards reset each season, so there's always a reason to keep refining your build.
Drag Meets are not the same as the Drag Racing Events in the Festival roster.
Drag Racing Events are structured championship races with specific car restrictions and Wristband progression.
Drag Meets are persistent open-world locations — social hubs where any player can pull up, stage at the line, and race other drivers in real time. Think less "official festival event," more real-world strip night.
Strip length directly affects what wins. The Irokawa Quarter Mile best suits testing launch and short-strip builds — AWD cars with high Launch stats dominate here.
The Ito Half-Mile better suits cars with strong mid-range acceleration rather than pure off-the-line explosiveness.
The Festival Kilometer is the longest strip, and rewards top-speed builds — high-speed cars like the Koenigsegg Jesko and Hennessey Venom F5 come into their own here.
A car tuned for the quarter-mile can lose badly on the kilometer if its top speed ceiling is too low.
All 3 strip locations are included on our FH6 interactive Japan map.
Also worth checking: Drag Racing Events for the structured Festival version, and Aftermarket Cars — drag-spec builds occasionally appear as Aftermarket Cars near the Festival strip location.
