Forza Horizon 5 PlayStation: Vocho Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Vocho in Forza Horizon 5 is the Volkswagen Beetle Horizon Story — 13 chapters following a customised Vocho (Mexican slang for VW Beetle) through increasingly extreme challenges, available from the very beginning of the game alongside El Camino.

It also has the most complex branching structure of any Horizon Story: four separate branch points, each requiring both options to be completed. All 13 Horizon Story Chapter locations are featured on our Forza Horizon 5 Mexico interactive map.

The Branching Structure: Every Chapter Is Mandatory

Unlike stories where branching means choosing one path, Vocho requires every branch chapter to be completed before the story continues. The full tree across four levels:

• Level 1 → The Vocho (opener)
• Level 2 → Scratch vs Stock → branches to: Group V AND Vocho Skills (both required)
• Level 3 → Group V/Vocho Skills both lead to: Vocho Across Country AND Vocho Can Fly! (both required)
• Level 4 → Both lead to: Cornering Machine! AND Vocho Speed! (both required) → both lead to: Drift-Cho AND Skill-Cho (both required) → both lead to: In the Hills AND In the Baja (both required)
• Finale → Scratch vs Stock, Too (Hall of Fame required)

All 12 pre-finale chapters must be 3-starred before the finale unlocks — and the finale itself requires reaching the Hall of Fame (200,000 Accolade Points).

Cover to Cover: Do NOT Use Vocho

"Cover to Cover" (Bronze) — 3 stars on all chapters in a single Horizon Story. Despite Vocho being one of the first two stories available, the community consensus is to avoid it for this trophy.

The culprit: In the Baja requires completing a route in 1:48 in a D-rated VW Beetle with no checkpoints. The D-rating restriction forces the original Vocho's severely limited performance, leaving almost no margin for error.

The fastest Cover to Cover route is Test Driver — each individual outpost set has only 3 chapters, requires no Hall of Fame, and can be done independently.

• The Vocho — 3 Stars: 8:20 (most generous — the opening chapter)
• Scratch vs Stock — 3 Stars: 1:34
• Group V — 3 Stars: 2:05
• Vocho Skills — 3 Stars: 1:32 (tightest in the story)
• Vocho Across Country — 3 Stars: 2:30
• Cornering Machine! — 3 Stars: 2:30
• In the Hills — 3 Stars: 2:00
• In the Baja — 3 Stars: 1:48 (D-rated Beetle, no checkpoints — the hardest chapter)
• Scratch vs Stock, Too (Hall of Fame required) — 3 Stars: 2:38

Distance jump (1 chapter):

• Vocho Can Fly! — 3 Stars: 166 M / 544 FT

Speed (1 chapter):

• Vocho Speed! — 3 Stars: 306 km/h / 190.1 MPH (achievable in a tuned S1 class car)

Score-based (2 chapters):

• Drift-Cho — 3 Stars: 210,000 PTS
• Skill-Cho — 3 Stars: 250,000 PTS (the highest skill score target in any FH5 Horizon Story)

The Vocho Barn Find: The Story's Hidden Reward

Completing all Vocho chapters adds the customised Vocho Beetle to the Barn Find counter as the 15th entry — pushing the display to "15/14 collected."

The Vocho Beetle is the story Barn Find that exists outside the 14 tracked collectible Barn Finds and does not count toward the "Better Than New" trophy.
