Doom: The Dark Ages: Arsenal Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

In Doom: The Dark Ages, your arsenal is a mix of brutal medieval engineering and futuristic firepower. There are 16 weapons to collect, ranging from standard ranged firearms to powerful melee tools.


To earn the Gunpletionist trophy/achievement, you must find every weapon and complete its individual Mastery Challenges. A weapon's Mastery Challenge only unlocks after you have fully upgraded it at a Sentinel Shrine.


  • Upgrades cost a combination of Gold, Rubies, and Wraithstones.
  • The final tier of every weapon requires 1 Wraithstone. Since there are only 11 Wraithstones in the game and 16 weapons, you must prioritize which weapons you want to master first.
  • Completing a challenge unlocks a Golden Weapon Skin and counts toward the Fully Loaded (1 challenge) and Gunpletionist (all challenges) trophies.


The 16 weapons are unlocked linearly throughout the 15+ chapters of the campaign. Here are 3 important tips to help you master all weapons:


  • If you need to finish Mastery Challenges quickly, the opening encounter of Chapter 20: Resurrection features infinitely spawning demons.
  • Gold is abundant, but Rubies often require solving environmental puzzles. Use your AutoMap to scan for yellow (Gold) and red (Ruby) icons before leaving a region. All of them are also marked on our interactive Doom: The Dark Ages maps.
  • You can pin an active Mastery Challenge to your HUD via the Challenges menu to track your progress in real-time during combat.

  • Unlocked automatically while playing the Cover the Escape mission in Chapter 1.

Shield SawChapter 2: Hebeth

Location:

  • Found at the bottom of the stairs on the wall of the fortress.


Description:


"The Slayer's Shield Saw, a brutal fusion of defense and carnage, was engineered by Sentinel Fordge-Lords. Crafted from Oblivion Iron and fueled by Sentinel energy, its spinning wraith-steel blades tear through demonic hordes with malicious efficiency. Despite its immense weight and searing heat, the Slayer wields it effortlessly."

Combat ShotgunChapter 1: Village of Khalim

Location:

  • Unlocked automatically after starting the game.


Description:


"Forged from the embers of Earth’s primitive weaponry and tempered by the advanced craftsmanship of Argent D’Nur, the Slayer’s Combat Shotgun is a relic of his arrival in a world besieged by chaos. Originally discovered beside the bloodied and battered figure of the Slayer when he emerged from the portal, this single-shot weapon bore the unmistakable marks of his homeworld’s design. ShredderChapter 1: Village of Khalim

Location:

  • Found in the clearing in front of the Demonic Portal, you must close in Chapter 1.

Plasma AcceleratorChapter 2: Hebeth

Location:

  • Found inside the research lab. The rifle must be obtained as part of the main mission.

Skullcrusher PulverizerChapter 4: Sentinel Barracks

Location:

  • Found on a round table in the central room of the Barracks on the middle floor.


Description:


"The Pulverizer is a weapon spoken about in hushed tones, born from the madness of a Sentinel engineer corrupted by cultists. "Reclaimed by the Night Seninels during a daring raid, its enigmatic design remains a mystery with whispers of it being powered by the souls of its victims.


This weapon, resembling an engine of death, crushes curse-marked demonic skulls and scatters shards with its tumblers. As the Slayer wields this formidable tool, the weapon itself seems to tremble with anticipation, hungry for the carnage to come."

ImpalerChapter 4: Sentinel Barracks

Location:

  • Found in front of the statue depicting a winged Demon. The Impaler must be obtained as part of the main mission.


Description:


"The Impaler, a relic of the Sentinels' ancient crusades, is a semi-automatic weapon forged for devastating precision. Powered by a crystallized hammer, the weapon fires massive spikes capable of piercing nearly any armor known to their world.


Though retired in modern times due to its immense weight and the rarity of its components, the Slayer wields it with ease, proving its timeless efficacy."

Super ShotgunChapter 5: The Holy City of Aratum

Location:


  • Found in front of the gate at the end of the alley.


Description:


"Inspired by the Slayer's success with the modified Combat Shotgun, the finest engineers of the Night Sentinels were tasked by the Maykrs to create a weapon of pure devastation—one that would not merely serve, but define the battlefield.


Built with dual barrels to amplify its destructive potential, the Super Shotgun was constructed using the strongest materials in Argent D’Nur, capable of enduring the unimaginable forces it unleashed.


Its design incorporated a unique black powder derived from the fossilized remains of ancient beasts native to their world. CyclerChapter 5: The Holy City of Aratum

  • Found in the burning corridor of the carrier, on the right side of the weak wall.


Description:


"This formidable weapon harnesses the advanced electro-thermal core technology pioneered by the Accelerator, elevating its offensive capabilities by generating larger crystal-plasma spikes in two simultaneously cooled generators.


These spikes, when expelled from the freonic sub-tubes, easily pierce the formidable hides of Hell's most resilient adversaries."

FlailChapter 6: Siege – Part 1

Location:

  • Drops in front of the large gate, once you reach the courtyard.


Description:


"The Flail is a weapon of unmatched brutality, crafted to channel the Slayer’s ferocity in close combat. Its unbreakable chain links, forged from Ethrion steel, swing a flail head imbued with an Inferno Core—a crystal of searing power that ignites its victims upon impact.


Intricate runes, carved by the High Priests, adorn the flail head, serving as both a blessing and a guide to the Slayer’s righteous fury."

ChainshotChapter 6: Siege – Part 1

Location:

  • Found in the middle of the stone pillar. You can get it by solving the Pressure Plates Puzzle.


Description:


"The Chainshot is a terrifying artifact, pulsating with a sentient malevolence that whispers from the abyss. Born from the unfathomable depths of forgotten realms, it channels chaotic energies, hurling its projectiles with a force that tears reality itself.

Grenade LauncherChapter 8: Abyssal Forest

Location:

  • Found inside the tunnel after taking the elevator towards the mine entrance.

  • Found in the clearing after dealing with all the Demons.

RavagerChapter 12: Sentinel Command Station

Location:

  • Found after exiting the ventilation shaft with the fireballs.


Description:


"The Ravager is a fearsome variant of the Skullcrusher, its existence classified due to its arcane origins. This weapon channels lethal shards through a focused path, growing more powerful as it reaches peak fire-rate. The Ravager's use is kept hidden from the public as the Sentinels grapple with the moral implications of harnessing such an un-natural source of munition. As the Ravager roars to life its runic engravings blaze with a sinister glow, and some operators claim to hear the haunting echoes of tortured souls within."

DreadmaceChapter 15: City of Ry’uul

Location:

  • Found in the middle of a large area.


Description:


"Amongst the scholars of Argent D'Nur the Dreadmace stands as a weapon cloaked in mystery and dread. Its origin and material composition remain unknown, alien to anything the Sentinels have encountered before. It is infinitely dense and roiling with energy beneath its surface. Its mere presence distorts the mind, rendering Sentinel scientists and engineers incapable of conducting thorough examinations.'

Ballistic Force CrossbowChapter 14: Spire of Nerathul

Location:

  • Found after opening the Gate.


Description:


"Crafted by the Astral Forgekings, the Ballistic Force Crossbow is a weapon of cosmic might, bestowed upon the Night Sentinels millennia ago to combat an unknown force of darkness. This formidable crossbow fires the Eldritch Lance, a bolt infused with an unknown material composition that radiates with other-worldly power. The Lance's impact can pierce any defense, unleashing cataclysmic destruction."
