Doom: The Dark Ages: Weapon Skin Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide
There are 21 Weapon Skin locations in Doom: The Dark Ages, spread across the game's 22 Chapters — and while they're purely cosmetic and won't affect your stats or unlock trophies, hunting down every single one is the hallmark of a true Slayer.
A few of them are genuinely tricky to find, so you've come to the right place.
Weapon Skins are split into three tiers, each earned differently:
- Nightmare Skins are hidden physical items in the game world, marked on your Automap by a Paintbrush Icon. You'll often find them tucked inside Secret Areas.
- Reverent Skins are challenge rewards, earned by completing specific Mission Challenges within a chapter — like destroying all Artillery Cannons or landing a perfect Shield Throw.
- Conqueror Skins are the hardest to earn. Fully upgrade a weapon at a Sentinel Shrine, spend a Wraithstone on its final tier, then complete its unique Mastery Challenge. These golden skins are the ultimate flex.
The good news? Some Nightmare and Reverent Skins can be picked up more than once, so you have a second chance if you missed them the first time.
The ones tied to timed or multi-step challenges — like the Veteran Pursuer chase in Chapter 13 or the Death Clock in Chapter 22 — are the most commonly missed.
