Dog Toys in Days Gone Remastered are the 9 personal artefacts of a world that came apart too quickly — rubber squeaky toys, chew rings, and dog balls left behind in houses across Oregon that Deacon can pick up and throw for Jack, his loyal German Shepherd, providing a rare quiet moment between hordes and highway raids.

Unlike NERO Injectors, they don't upgrade stats, and unlike Tourism Collectibles, they carry no lore text — but all 9 count toward "The Broken Roadshow" (Silver trophy, 75% of all collectibles).

The Visual Tell: Look for the Destroyed Dog Kennel

Dog Toys almost never sit in plain sight — they're always inside the main building of a property, not outside where the kennel is.

The most reliable detection method is spotting a destroyed or collapsed dog kennel in the yard outside a house.

If a kennel is present, a Dog Toy is almost always somewhere inside the building itself: on the floor near a TV, under a bunk bed, beside a couch on the second floor, or next to the bathroom entrance. The kennel flags the house; the toy is inside.

They Don't Show on the Minimap

Dog Toys don't emit a visible prompt or interact icon until Deacon is standing almost directly next to one — they won't appear as a distance marker the way mission objectives do, and they aren't flagged by Survival Vision.

Checking specific rooms in the right houses (rather than sweeping areas with vision active) is the only reliable approach without a map reference.

Collecting All 9 While Doing Everything Else

With only 9 locations scattered across Oregon, Dog Toys reward casual sweeps rather than a dedicated hunt.

The most efficient approach is collecting them while already passing through areas for R.I.P. Sermons, burning Crier Nests, kicking over Anarchist Cairns, or hunting down Crafting Recipes.

The houses containing Dog Toys are rarely out of the way — most sit near roads and known landmarks.

None are missable; the full Oregon map reopens in free roam after the story concludes.
