Days Gone Remastered: Crier Nest Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

In Days Gone Remastered, few enemies are as annoying as the Criers—infected crows that swarm Deacon from above. To stop them from spawning, you must burn out their Crier Nests, which are found high atop trees and power poles. While standard Freaker nests are found in buildings, these require you to look up.

Clearing these nests is a requirement for the "Infestation Exterminator" trophy (which tracks 18 specific nest locations in the southern regions).

As these nests are located exclusively in the late-game areas of Highway 97 and Crater Lake, you will likely be hunting them while finishing up other collections. You might spot them while looking for R.I.P. Sermons, or while searching for Anarchist Cairns on the cliffs.

There are 42 individual nests in total, but they are grouped into 18 distinct locations you must visit for the "Infestation Exterminator" storyline. You will mostly find them in the Highway 97 region.

When you find one, do not waste Molotovs unless necessary. The most efficient way to destroy them is by using Incendiary Bolts with your crossbow. This allows you to snipe the nests from a distance without alerting nearby hordes.

Like all other collectibles, these can be cleaned up in free roam after the credits roll. Because these nests are high up and often obscured by branches, we recommend using our interactive Days Gone Remastered map to locate the exact trees you need to burn.
