Crimson Desert: Bonfire Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Crimson Desert Bonfires are the most important service point in Pywel — and the most common.

Every bonfire, campfire, and hearth in the open world is simultaneously a cooking station, a time-skip point, and a tactical tool.

There are no healing potions in Crimson Desert. Food is your primary healing mechanic, and bonfires are where you make it.

MapMaster has pinned over 200 Bonfire locations across all five regions — more than any other Crimson Desert map resource — all linked from the Crimson Desert completion hub.

How To Use a Bonfire

Hold L1/LB (controller) or CTRL (keyboard) to Focus on any bonfire, then select from three options: Cook, Off, or Wait.

  • Cook — opens the cooking menu to prepare food using ingredients from your inventory. All bonfire types support the same recipes with no functional difference between a campfire, a hearth, or a cooking pot. See the Cooking Recipe guide for full recipe locations.

  • Wait — choose to advance time by 3, 6, or 12 hours. A short cutscene plays, and you resume control at the new time. Use this to shift day to night, restock vendors, or align with time-locked quests.

  • Off — extinguishes the flame, removing the light source. Useful for stealth approaches to nearby camps where firelight could give away your position.

The Rest Cooldown and How To Bypass It

After using Wait, there's a built-in cooldown before you can rest again — you cannot skip time back to back at the same bonfire.

Choose your time increment carefully before confirming: overshooting a quest window by picking 12 hours when you only needed 3 means you'll be locked out of resting again for a while.

The workaround: fast travel to a different bonfire or bed. The cooldown is per station, not per character, so moving to another rest point resets it immediately.

Quest Time-Skip Shortcut

If you arrive at a quest marker and the NPC isn't there yet, press ESC (menu button on controller) and time advances automatically to their arrival — no bonfire required.

This is faster and more precise than manually picking a time increment.

The First Bonfire To Use

The earliest and most convenient bonfire is the cooking fire next to butcher Renee in Hernand Town — get familiar with it during the opening chapters.

It's close to vendors and the Hernand Bank, making it a natural hub for pre-battle preparation: cook your food, check if vendors are stocked, and wait out a restock cycle if needed.

All 200+ Bonfire locations are pinned on the Hernand interactive map, interactive Pailune map, Demeniss map guide, Delesyia interactive map, and Crimson Desert region map, with exact coordinates in the checklist below.
