Crimson Desert: Bank Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

There are 6 Banks in Crimson Desert, spread across Pywel's major settlements — Hernand (two branches), Demeniss, Pailune, Delesyia, and the Crimson Desert region.

They are the most powerful financial tool in the game: never sell Gold Bars to a regular merchant, who pays only 190 Silver per bar.

Exchange them at a bank for 500 Silver — a 310 Silver gain per bar every single time.

Beyond simple exchange, banks offer a passive investment system that can fund gear upgrades and weapon purchases throughout the campaign. Every bank location is pinned on MapMaster's region maps linked from the Crimson Desert completion hub.

Setting up Your Account

Visit any banker and pay 100 Silver for a Personal Strongbox Permit — a one-time fee that opens a single account shared across all banks in Pywel.

You don't need to repeat this at each location. The permit gives you two things: a place to deposit Gold Bars, and access to the investment system. The first banker you'll encounter is Grover at the Hernand Bank, on the western side of the city.

The Investment System

After depositing Gold Bars, choose one of three risk strategies:

• Low Risk — small, consistent returns. Safe for the early game, recommended until you have a buffer of 10 or more Gold Bars.
• Medium Risk — the sweet spot most players recommend. Good returns without significant downside.
• High Risk — large potential payouts, but you can lose the full value of deposited bars on a bad cycle. The practical workaround: save your game before the refresh window. If the result is negative, reload. This removes all downside from High Risk.

Investment refreshes approximately every 3 in-game days. You can switch strategies every 15 in-game days. Dividends and losses stay in your account until you manually withdraw them.

Important: Wanted state blocks investing.

As of Patch 1.03.00 (April 9, 2026), Gold Bar deposits and investment updates are disabled while you have a Wanted status. Basic withdrawals continue to work. Clear your Wanted status before attempting to deposit or invest.

Robbing the Vault

Every bank contains a locked vault accessible using a Key (30 Copper from any Back Alley Shop) and a Mask (10 Copper).

Equip the mask before entering, use the Key on the vault door, and loot the strongboxes inside while crouching to avoid detection.

A full Hernand Bank vault run typically yields 30 to 55 Silver depending on how many containers you clear.

Note that stealing incurs a Contribution Point penalty per item, regardless of detection, and your Wanted status after robbing will temporarily block Gold Bar investment. Plan accordingly.
