In Crimson Desert, banks are far more than just storage; they are the heart of your economic progression. Unlike standard merchants who buy Gold Bars for a measly 190 silver, a Bank will credit your account with 500 silver per bar.

To begin, you must visit a teller like Grover in Hernand and purchase a Personal Strongbox Permit for a one-time fee of 100 silver. This permit grants you a private account that is shared across all four major banks in Pywel, allowing you to deposit wealth in one city and withdraw it in another.

Once your account is active, you gain access to the Investment System, where you can assign your Gold Bars to Low, Medium, or High-Risk strategies to grow your capital passively while you focus on the Greymane campaign.

Your financial journey begins in the Hernand Bank, located in the northwest district, conveniently close to the castle entrance. This is the most vital hub for early-game players and serves as the primary location for both legal investments and the highly popular early-game robbery exploit.

As you venture into the central regions, you’ll find the Calphade Bank situated in the bustling central town square of Thalwynd. Further north, the Tommaso Bank anchors the northern district of its namesake city, while the southern economic powerhouse is the Delesyia Bank, found near the large central statue in the heart of the capital.

For those looking to operate outside the law, every bank contains a locked vault door that can be bypassed with a generic Key. Once inside, crouching to avoid detection and using your Lantern to inspect the strongboxes will allow you to plunder significant amounts of silver, though you’ll need to wait 2-3 in-game days for the chests to restock.
