Borderlands 4 (BL4): Evocarium Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Evocariums are Borderlands 4's most rewarding collectible puzzle — 18 ancient Eridian shrines scattered across Kairos, each requiring a short orb-hunt to complete and yielding 15 SDU tokens plus a unique Nyriad ECHO Log on every successful solve.

Every shrine location and all three orb locations per Evocarium are tracked at exact coordinates on the interactive BL4 maps — 72 individual map pins covering the shrines and every hidden orb across all 18 puzzles.

What Evocariums Are in Borderlands 4

Evocariums are glowing Eridian terminals set into the landscape across all four regions of Kairos.

Unlike static collectibles such as Marcus Bobbleheads or Vault Hunter's Guides to Kairos, each Evocarium requires completing a small environmental puzzle before the reward is awarded.

Approaching one marks it automatically on the in-game map — but finding the three golden orbs required to complete it is the actual challenge.

How to Solve an Evocarium Puzzle

Every Evocarium follows the same three-step structure:

• Activate the shrine — locate and interact with the central Evocarium pedestal. Three golden beams of light project from it into the surrounding area, each pointing toward one hidden orb.

• Find the orbs — follow the beams to track down all three golden orbs (also called Memordium Orbs), typically placed on rooftops, cliff ledges, elevated machinery, cave platforms, or at the end of grapple-and-glide sequences. The orbs do not appear before the shrine is activated — interacting with the pedestal first is required.

• Claim the reward — once all three orbs have been interacted with, return to the central shrine and interact again to receive the 15 SDU tokens and the Nyriad ECHO Log for that location.

What Evocariums Reward

Per Evocarium: 15 SDU tokens and one named Nyriad ECHO Log. The 18 Nyriad recordings are titled "Eridian: [theme]" — Paradise, Lost, Survival, Empty, Warmth, Veil, Hungrier, Life, Meaning, Metal, Power, Scars, Failure, and more — forming a complete audio chronicle of Nyriad, the ancient Siren who once lived among the Eridian people.

These recordings expand the lore of Kairos's Eridian past beyond anything found elsewhere in the campaign.

SDU tokens (Storage Deck Upgrades) can be spent on four distinct storage upgrades: backpack capacity, bank capacity, ammo capacity, and lost loot capacity. Completing all 18 Evocariums yields a total of 270 SDU tokens — a meaningful contribution to the full storage expansion needed for endgame loot management.

Stranded Sister challenge: Completing all 18 Evocariums unlocks the Stranded Sister challenge, awarding XP, Eridium, cash, and a unique weapon skin.

One Evocarium Is Mission-Gated

The Evocarium in The Howl is only accessible by following the Savage Salvage Side Mission into the Wreck of the Maestar cave — where a person is trapped inside an orb hanging from the ceiling.

The Evocarium sits inside this cave and cannot be reached outside the mission window. Completing Savage Salvage before sweeping The Howl for the shrine is the recommended approach.
