Resident Evil Requiem: Lockpick Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

There are 5 Lockpicks in Resident Evil Requiem — one for each Simple Lock in the game. Every entry in the following guide is in the Care Center, and every location is pinned on the Care Center area map.

Exactly 5 Lockpicks for Exactly 5 Simple Locks

As Grace explores the Rhodes Hill Care Center, she will encounter exactly five Lockpicks and exactly five locks to use them on.

The ratio is precise — you won't run out of picks, and you won't have picks left over. Lockpicks are Grace-exclusive and only usable during the Care Center section. Leon has no access to them.

What Do Simple Locks Contain?

Every drawer locked with a Simple Lock contains Rare Metal — a resource used in crafting 12.7x55mm ammo for the Requiem revolver.

There is no variation in reward across difficulty settings. All five locked containers hold exactly one Rare Metal each.

No Prioritisation Needed: Use Every Pick

Since all five locks contain the same reward and there are exactly five picks to match them, there's no strategic decision to make.

Use each Lockpick as you find the corresponding lock. There is no minigame involved — Grace automatically uses a Lockpick from her inventory on interaction with no puzzle or timing mechanic.

Two locks are in the Care Center Basement, and two of the Lockpicks that open them are also in the Basement — don't leave the Basement without collecting both.

Like Mother, Like Daughter: The Trophy You Unlock

Opening any Simple Lock for the first time unlocks the "Like Mother, Like Daughter" Bronze trophy on PlayStation and the equivalent achievement on Xbox and PC.

The earliest opportunity is the West Wing drawer near the Restroom — it's the first Simple Lock most players encounter.

One Lockpick, one interaction, trophy done.

All 5 Lockpick Locations

• Office — on the farthest right desk, by the computer monitor (West Wing 2F).
• Lead Researcher's Office — next to a lamp on a cabinet (East Wing 2F, Level 1 Wristband required to enter the East Wing).
• Custodian's Office — inside a locker across from the typewriter (West Wing 1F, Level 1 Wristband required).
• Boiler Room — in a puddle on the floor. Access-gated: requires going through the Fence Hole and interrupting the electricity first.
• Vent leading to the Workshop — on the ground inside the shaft connecting Inspection to the Workshop (Care Center Basement).
