Resident Evil Requiem: Key Item Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Navigating the halls of the Care Center and the industrial depths of the ARK in Resident Evil 9: Requiem is impossible without securing all Key Items. These unique items serve as the ultimate progress gatekeepers, allowing you to unlock new wings, solve environmental riddles, and bypass high-security lockdowns.

From the Fusebox at the start of the game to the high-tech ID Wristbands required for the labs, finding these items is the only way to drive the story forward. Missing a Key Item often brings your journey to a standstill, forcing you to backtrack through hostile territory. This guide pinpoints every essential object to help you maintain momentum.

In Requiem, Key Items are categorized by their utility within the environment. Understanding their purpose is vital for efficient navigation:

  • Traditional Keys: Used to unlock physical doors, gates, and specialized containers.
  • ID Wristbands & Keycards: The Care Center and ARK use a tiered security system. You must find and upgrade your ID Wristband (Levels 1 through 3) to access restricted research areas and elevators.
  • Puzzle Components: Items that have no direct use on a door but are mandatory for solving the game's puzzles.

Key Items in Resident Evil Requiem occupy space in your inventory until they have fulfilled their purpose. Once an item is no longer needed (marked by a red checkmark in your inventory), you can safely discard it or store it in an Item Box to make room for more ammo. If you find yourself stuck, check the "Examine" function on your Key Items. Rotating a key or opening a locket often reveals hidden engravings or a second item inside.

Walking past a critical key in a dark room is the most common cause of player frustration. To prevent this, our team has pinned the location of every Key Item in the game on our interactive RE9 Requiem maps.

Our map guides provide precise coordinates, screenshots of the items, and step-by-step instructions for the puzzles required to claim them. Use the links in the table below to verify your progress and unlock the secrets of the Requiem project.
