Green Herbs in Resident Evil Requiem: What's Different This Time

Requiem uses a single-herb system — the series staple of combining Red and Blue Herbs is absent, keeping the healing loop simple but making each herb more meaningful.

Herbs grow in small pots placed on desks, shelves, counters, and floors throughout every area. Each herb occupies one inventory slot, which creates real pressure in the later Care Center and ARK sections, where inventory space is already stretched.

Combine herbs immediately or deposit them in an item box rather than holding loose singles.

Three Ways to Use a Green Herb

• Alone — restores a small portion of health. Best for emergency top-ups when you're in immediate danger and can't afford the time to open the combine menu.

• Mixed Herb (G+G) — combine two Green Herbs for roughly double the health restoration. The default mid-encounter healing option. Both characters can combine herbs freely from the inventory screen without needing any recipe unlock.

• Mixed Herb (G+G+G) — combine three Green Herbs for a full health restoration. Save these for boss fights and high-pressure encounters where taking damage to half health or lower is likely. Craft them in advance during safe room moments rather than scrambling mid-fight.

Grace's Exclusive Option: Med Injector Crafting

Grace can also combine a Green Herb with 60x Infected Blood to create a Med Injector. This is a Grace-only use — Leon cannot use this recipe.

Med Injectors provide a larger and faster health restoration than even a G+G+G and are the preferred healing method for Insanity boss encounters.

Prioritise crafting Med Injectors over consuming loose herbs whenever your Infected Blood reserves allow it.

Pre-Combined Herbs: Two Ready-Made G+G Pickups

Two checklist entries are pre-combined Mixed Herb (G+G) — they're already combined when found and add immediately to your healing stock without requiring two separate inventory slots.

• The first is inside the large crate on top of the scaffolding in the Construction Yard, East Raccoon City — drop it with the hanging case mechanic and open it on the ground.

• The second is in the Warped Closet in the Care Center Records Room. Both are tagged as Mixed Herb (G+G) in the checklist rather than Green Herb.

Difficulty-Specific Spawns

One herb is Casual-only: on the ground next to the door in the Care Center (disappears on Standard and Insanity).

One herb is Insanity-only: on the stairs by the pool table in the Wrenwood Hotel lobby. Both are flagged with difficulty labels in the checklist.

The overall herb distribution across Standard and Insanity is broadly similar — the Care Center, East Raccoon City, Raccoon City Center, and ARK all have consistent herb coverage on both difficulties.
