Resident Evil Requiem: Ammo Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Resident Evil Requiem operates on a strict resource scarcity model — every ammo pickup matters, and missing a cache in a room you can't return to can define your survival options for the next encounter.

The MapMaster team has included every confirmed ammo location across all 8 areas on the Resident Evil Requiem interactive maps, with exact room names and access conditions in the checklist below.

Ammo Types in Resident Evil Requiem

Four standard ammo types appear across the game:

Handgun Ammo (the most common — desks, drawers, dropped by zombies on Main Street, and throughout the Care Center),
Shotgun Shells (less frequent, concentrated in the Care Center Attic and East Raccoon City),
Rifle Ammo (primarily in East Raccoon City and Raccoon City Center, often in locked lockers or hanging cases),
Machine Gun Ammo (larger batches found in vehicles and containers, primarily in East Raccoon City and Raccoon City Center).

Ammo amounts for some pickups — notably the Chairman's Office in the Care Center — scale down on greater difficulties. On Insanity, you receive less from these variable pickups while needing more per kill.

Hidden and Environmental Pickups Worth Knowing

Several ammo pickups in East Raccoon City require active interaction rather than simple collection.

Two hanging cases — one on scaffolding, one suspended from a bridge — contain Rifle Ammo and Handgun Ammo, respectively.

To collect them, shoot the band or strap holding the case and let it drop to the ground. If you walk underneath without looking up, you'll miss both.

One ammo cache at Ridgewood Station in East Raccoon City is inaccessible on your first pass — it only becomes reachable when you revisit the area via the sewers later in the game.

In the Care Center Attic, 4 Shotgun Shells are hidden behind a section of wall that cannot be broken normally. Lure the Chunk enemy into the Attic and let it smash through the wall to access the cache behind it.

Insanity Difficulty: Exclusive Ammo Locations

The Care Center has four Insanity-only ammo pickups in a closet: two Random Ammo x2 pickups, Machine Gun Ammo x20, and Rifle Ammo x3. These don't exist on Casual or Standard.

A fifth Insanity-exclusive pickup is Handgun Ammo x30 locked in the Parlor cabinet — requires 5 Antique Coins to unlock and is only available on Insanity.

If you're running Insanity for the Platinum, check these closets before leaving the Care Center.

All ammo locations are properly marked on the Care Center map, East Raccoon City map, Raccoon City Center map, Main Street map, Water Treatment Plant map, and ARK map, with room names and access notes in the checklist below.
