FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time: Settlement Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

In FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time, Settlements are rescued villages across Ginormosia — abandoned monster communities that become fully functional bases once freed.

There are 6 Settlements on the continent, and they are all documented on MapMaster's FANTASY LIFE i interactive maps.

Rescuing a Village: Combat, Mining, or Woodcutting

Every Settlement starts as an unpopulated village requiring a specific challenge to free — usually combat, mining, or woodcutting- meaning a range of Lives should be levelled before attempting to clear all six.

Once freed, a Settlement permanently unlocks fast travel via Skelegon, a resting Campfire, crafting Workbenches, quest-giving NPCs, an Evershop for selling farmed vegetables, and NPC merchants whose inventory expands as the surrounding region's Area Rank increases.

All Six Settlements and Their Leaders

  • Buffalo Base (West Greatgut Plains) — requires a mining challenge. Complete three quests from Gonk to earn the Maajik Demon Statue Strangeling.

  • Haniwa Hamlet (East Dryridge Desert) — requires a combat challenge. Complete three quests from McCowing to earn the Shaman's Painting Strangeling.

  • Beetle Borough — requires a combat challenge. Complete three quests from Haniwendy to earn the Cash Cat Strangeling.

  • Panther Preserve (Moltana Wastes) — requires a mining challenge. Complete three quests from Pyroscoe to earn the Big O' Bomb Strangeling.

  • Simian Settlement (Shroomhaven) — requires a woodcutting challenge. Complete three quests from Primasilea to earn the Knight Flan Strangeling.

  • Tortortoise Town (Fangshore Isles) — requires a combat challenge. Complete three quests from Terrapapa to earn the Old Man Anchor Strangeling.

Each settlement leader's three quests are Personal Requests — the same fixed, one-time questline type tracked separately, tied specifically to the leader unlocked by freeing that settlement.

A Known Bug: Missing Statue Reward

A confirmed bug affects the third quest reward at Beetle Borough: the quest-complete notification appears, but the Maajik Demon Statue Strangeling sometimes fails to appear visually.

If this happens, check the inventory directly — the Strangeling is typically still granted even without the expected animation, and reloading the area or returning to the title screen can resolve the missing visual confirmation.
