FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time: Strangeling Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

In FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time, Strangelings are NPCs transformed into ordinary-looking objects, hidden throughout the world and recruitable as party Buddies once reverted to human form.

There are 49 Strangelings in the full game, but only around 35 have fixed, mappable locations within Ginormosia — the remainder come from random monster drops,

Treasure Grove dungeons, or story progression rather than a fixed coordinate. All confirmed fixed locations are visible on our FANTASY LIFE i interactive maps.

Why the Count Varies: Five Acquisition Methods

Strangelings come from five distinct sources, which explains why fixed-location guides and total-count figures don't match:

  • Story progression — several Strangelings, including the game's first (Kunugi), are recruited automatically while playing through the main campaign.

  • Shrine rewards — every one of Ginormosia's 20 Shrines rewards a specific, fixed Strangeling on completion, forming the bulk of the entries in this guide.

  • Settlement quest rewards — completing all three Personal Requests from a settlement leader unlocks that settlement's unique Strangeling.

  • Chest and world pickups — some Strangelings sit directly in the open world or inside chests, fixed but not tied to a Shrine or Settlement.

  • Random monster drops — silver- and gold-crown enemies have a chance to drop a Strangeling on defeat, with no guaranteed type and no fixed location, explaining why this category can't be mapped.

Reverting a Strangeling: Celestia's Gifts

Once found, a Strangeling is reverted to human form at the Goddess Statue in Base Camp, using Celestia's Gifts — blue flowers that bloom once per real-world day at the base.

Each conversion typically requires 100 Celestia's Gifts, meaning even a fully collected Strangeling roster takes real time to fully revert.

Only after reverting can a Strangeling be assigned as an active party Buddy from the Guild Office, contributing to combat, gathering, or crafting depending on their Life.

Naming Pattern: The Object Gives Away the Life

Most Strangeling object names hint at the Life they represent once reverted — Angler's Hood belongs to an Angler, Quirky Hammer to a Blacksmith, Cold Crystal to a Miner, and Soothing Basket to a Woodcutter.

Recognising this pattern makes it easier to identify which Strangeling is still missing from a specific Life category without checking every individual entry.
