Elden Ring: Map Fragment Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

In Elden Ring, a Map Fragment is the root of your exploration, and the only way to clear the "fog of war" and reveal the topographical details of the Lands Between.

Map Fragment Locations are typically found at the base of stone obelisks along main roads. They are the access points for identifying landmarks, locating dungeon entrances, and planning efficient travel routes across the world’s vertical layers.

The Lands Between: Overworld Fragments

Before a fragment is collected, its location is marked on your greyed-out map by a small, faint monolith icon. Prioritize these to reveal the base game's primary regions:

• Limgrave, West: Located directly at the crossroads pillar near the Gatefront Ruins.
• Limgrave, East: Found near the road in the Mistwood, guarded by a Lesser Runebear near the Siofra River Well.
• Weeping Peninsula: Situated along the road leading south to Castle Morne.
• Liurnia, East: Located at the watery crossroads north of the Liurnia Lake Shore Site of Grace.
• Liurnia, North: Found near the Academy Gate Town, just outside the sunken ruins.
• Liurnia, West: Located on the road leading north toward Caria Manor.
• Caelid: Found at the fork in the road south of the Sellia Under-Stair.
• Dragonbarrow: Situated along the high road east of the Isolated Merchant’s Shack.
• Altus Plateau: Located on the path leading north from the Grand Lift of Dectus.
• Leyndell, Royal Capital: Found at the monolith just outside the massive outer stairs of the city.
• Mt. Gelmir: Located on a precarious cliffside path near the Road of Iniquity.
• Mountaintops of the Giants (West/East): Found along the primary snowy trails leading toward Castle Sol and the Forge of the Giants.

Underground & Expansion Map Fragments

These maps are essential for navigating the complex, multi-level subterranean cities and the DLC territories.

• Siofra River: Found on a corpse leaning against a pillar at the entrance to the Hallowhorn Grounds.
• Ainsel River: Located in the merchant’s room within the Uhl Palace Ruins.
• Deeproot Depths: Found on a corpse in a gazebo in the center of the sunken city.
• Realm of Shadow (DLC): The expansion map is divided into five distinct segments (Gravesite Plain, Scadu Altus, Rauh Ruins, Abyss, and Southern Shore), each found at stone pillars similar to the base game.

2026 Nightreign: Limveld Maps

In the 2026 Nightreign expansion, the Limveld region introduces a dynamic mapping system that interacts with "Shifting Earth" events.

• Limveld Fragment Locations: These are found at the Great Church and the entrance to the Forsaken Hollows. Collecting these is the requirement for stabilizing your compass during Nightreign storms.
• Nightreign Castle Map: This unique fragment is found in the Castle Library. Unlike static maps, it reveals the current layout of the 40 randomized castle patterns, highlighting active treasure chest rooms and boss arenas.

In the Nightrein DLC, it is highly recommended to use the Spectral Hawk Tree network in Limveld to scout for the glowing monolith icons from above. Airborne players can often spot the Map Fragment pillars from distances that are obscured by fog or trees at ground level.
