In Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, repairing the Mines is an important part of the gameplay loop in Australia. While facilities provide materials slowly, these 9 Mines offer a massive, immediate quantity of resources in exchange for Chiral Crystals.

They are essential for building Level 2 and 3 roads, as well as extending the Monorail system.

There are 9 Mines in total, all located in the Australia region. They are categorized into Small Mines (off-grid, standalone) and Large Mines (integrated into the monorail network).

Restoring three of them unlocks the "Dig, Dig, Dig!" trophy, but restoring all nine is recommended for late-game infrastructure. Large mines are also built for the Monorail.

You can park a Pickup Off-Roader directly on the monorail car to move thousands of units of metal or ceramic across the map in seconds. For small mines like the South Edge Mine, you’ll need to rely on the Off-Roader's high cargo capacity to navigate the terrain.
