Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is the 2025 action-adventure sequel from Kojima Productions, written, directed, and designed by Hideo Kojima, published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
It launched on PS5 on June 26, 2025, followed by a PC release on March 19, 2026. Set eleven months after the original Death Stranding, the game follows Sam Porter Bridges (Norman Reedus) as he travels beyond the United Cities of America into Mexico and then Australia, reconnecting isolated survivors to the Chiral Network while investigating the apparent death of his adopted daughter, the Bridge Baby known as Lou.
Sam is joined by Fragile (Léa Seydoux), Tomorrow (Elle Fanning), Rainy (Shioli Kutsuna), and the crew of the DHV Magellan, while Higgs (Troy Baker) returns as the central antagonist.
MapMaster's Death Stranding 2: On the Beach interactive maps cover both continents in full.
The game spans two open-world regions linked physically by the Plate Gate — a portal usable from the start of the game and the only crossing point between continents until the DHV Magellan unlocks fast travel after Order 012:
Reconnecting the world means finding and linking every Shelter and Facility to the Chiral Network — 42 in total, 6 in Mexico and 36 across Australia.
Connecting all of them unlocks the Keep on Connecting trophy and the game's most advanced gear. Several are optional Hidden Preppers, only revealed by delivering specific Lost Cargo found in the wilderness.
Every Main Order required to advance the story, and every optional Sub Order delivered along the way, is documented with full objectives and delivery requirements.
Both continents are marked with every location type that matters for survival and exploration: BT Territory zones patrolled by named spectral creatures, Hostile Territory controlled by hostile factions, Animal Shelter locations, and every Warning area sign.
For players chasing full exploration, MapMaster tracks every Point of Interest, Photo Spot, Observatory, Hot Spring, and Mine location, alongside the docking areas of the DHV Magellan.
MapMaster marks every Auto-Paver for road construction, every Tracklayer for the monorail network, and every Postbox for cargo delivery across both continents.
Unlike many open-world games, every location, Shelter, and collectible in Death Stranding 2 remains fully accessible after the credits roll, including hidden Music tracks and developer Easter eggs — players can pursue 100% completion at their own pace without fear of a point of no return locking content away.
