Crimson Desert: Crafting Books Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

In Crimson Desert, finding a Crafting Book is a "Knowledge" event that permanently expands your crafting menu at any Smithy. These volumes are divided into categories: One-Handed Weapons, Two-Handed Weapons, Ranged Weapons (Bows/Guns), Shields, and Armor (Cloth/Leather/Plate).

Unlike consumable recipes, these books are often hidden in high-security locations—such as noble bookcases or guarded guildhouses—and often require a Mask to steal quietly. Once acquired, you must manually "Examine" the book in your inventory to register the blueprints.

Your journey into advanced smithing typically begins in the Hernand region, where you can find One-Handed Weapons Vol. 1 sitting on a crate inside the Goldleaf Guildhouse and Cloth Armors Vol. 1 conveniently placed right beside the Tailor Shop vendor in town. For those seeking heavier steel, Two-Handed Weapons Vol. 1 is hidden on the second floor of Glenbright Manor, though you’ll need to steal it from a bookcase while avoiding the guards.

As you expand your reach across Pywel, you can purchase Shields of the World Vol. 1 from the Calphade Equipment Shop, while Leather Armors Vol. 1 is tucked away inside Azerian Manor within the Demeniss residential district.

Advanced crafters heading south should look for One-Handed Weapons Vol. 2 at the Tomasso Equipment Shop near the central square, while Two-Handed Weapons Vol. 2 is found on a desk on the second floor of the Town Bell Tower. In the bustling market of Delesyia, you can buy Plate Armors Vol. 1 from the local equipment merchant, but the more specialized Ranged Weapons: Guns Vol. 1 is located on a display shelf inside Marni's Museum.
