Code Vein 2: Bow Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

In Code Vein II, Bows occupy a unique niche as Bequeathed Formae—special summonable weapons and abilities—rather than being a standard melee weapon category.

These spectral weapons allow you to rain down projectiles of light or concentrated energy, scaling primarily with your Mind and Willpower rather than physical Strength or Dexterity.

Since they function as Formae, they do not affect your Burden (weight), making them an ideal long-range supplement for lightweight Bayonet or Twin Blade builds.

When using a Bow, here is what you should consider:

• Charging for Power: Like the Bayonet's strong attack, holding the fire button (R2/RT) for a Bow Formae will charge the arrow. A fully charged shot from the Statesman's Longbow can pierce through multiple enemies or stagger smaller Horrors instantly.
• Ichor Consumption: Each shot consumes a small amount of Ichor. If you plan on using Bows as a primary damage source, equip the Caster II Blood Code or use a Jail with high Ichor-gain-on-hit to keep your reserves full.
• No Weight Penalty: Because these are spectral summons, you can equip the heaviest Greatsword and still use a Bow without affecting your "Quick" or "Normal" dodge speed.
• Aiming Mode: Clicking the right analog stick while drawing the bow enters a precise aiming mode, allowing you to target weak points (like the heads of mutated sentinels) for critical damage.

The Statesman’s Longbow is technically the first Bow you encounter, but many players walk past the chest because it is partially obscured by rubble right at the start of The Ruins. Be sure to grab it before heading to the upper platforms, as it is needed to clear the map jammers in that area.
