One Ichor. That's what the Statesman's Longbow costs per shot — the lowest activation cost of any Bequeathed Formae in Code Vein 2.
It fires arrows of light at speed, pierces through multiple enemies in a line, can be charged for heavier damage, and rarely alerts nearby enemies when used at a distance.
It's the game's only Bow, categorised as a Bequeathed Formae rather than a standard weapon — meaning it occupies the dedicated Forma slot, adds zero Burden to your loadout, and can be used alongside any weapon class without affecting your dodge tier.
The Longbow scales with Dexterity and Willpower — not Mind. Both stats feed into its output, with Dexterity influencing physical arrow damage and Willpower powering the spectral light element.
To use it: equip it in the Bequeathed Formae slot, press L2/LT to draw, move the camera to aim, then press R2/RT to fire a single shot. Hold R2/RT instead to charge — the charged shot hits harder and has extended pierce range through enemy groups.
You can move while aiming, which makes repositioning mid-encounter practical. Because it costs only 1 Ichor per fire, it pairs efficiently with any Jail that generates Ichor on hit — your standard combat keeps the Longbow fuelled without dedicated Ichor farming.
The practical use case is broader than a dedicated ranged build. On a Bayonet build, it extends the range beyond the Bayonet's own rifle shots.
On a melee-focused Twin Blades build, it lets you pick off isolated enemies or pull stragglers before engaging a group — often without alerting the rest.
The Longbow's stealth pull is one of its most underappreciated qualities: fired from outside detection range, a shot rarely notifies nearby enemies, letting you reduce group size before committing to melee.
It also reaches Map Jammers from a safe distance, avoiding the Jammer's area of effect while still defeating it.
The Statesman's Longbow is inside a chest in the opening courtyard of the Ruins on MagMell Island — partially obscured by rubble near the right-hand wall as you enter the area.
It's easy to walk past, heading toward the upper platforms. Grab it before ascending — there's no need to return for it later, and it's immediately useful on MagMell Island.
