Resident Evil Requiem: Antique Coin Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Antique Coins are the Care Center's exclusive currency in Resident Evil Requiem — spent in the West Wing Parlor for permanent upgrades that define how Grace Ashcroft survives the Rhodes Hill outbreak.

The in-game description reads simply: "An old metal coin used for games. Can be exchanged for prizes in the parlor."

Use the checklist below to track every coin by room — all locations are pinned on the Care Center interactive map, the only resource with Insanity-mode enemy drop locations mapped by specific room and zombie type.

How Many Antique Coins Are There in Resident Evil Requiem?

There are 25 Antique Coins on Casual and Normal difficulty. You only need 17 to buy all four Parlor upgrades, giving a margin of 8 missed coins before any upgrade becomes unattainable.

On Insanity, the coin placements change entirely. All coins are Grace-exclusive and found within the Rhodes Hill Care Center, with two Insanity-only exceptions in the Wrenwood Hotel.

Where Do You Spend Antique Coins in Resident Evil Requiem?

To access the Parlor, go to the 2F Chairman's Office and pick up the Unicorn Trinket Box. Examine it to acquire the Red Jewel, which unlocks the Parlor.

The prize cabinet sits to the left of the blackjack table. Interact with each lockbox, select your Antique Coins from the inventory screen, and use the arrow keys to input the required amount.

Best Parlor Upgrade Order in Resident Evil Requiem

All four upgrades are worth buying. The smarter play is grabbing the Hip Pouch the moment you have 3 coins — by the time most players reach the Parlor, their base inventory is already maxed out.

Without those two extra slots, you're constantly forced to choose between dropping ammo, leaving behind green herbs, or making repeated trips back to the item box.

Buy the Steroids (permanent max health) second, the Override Manual (blood collector capacity +50) third, and the Stabilizer (weapon damage and handling) last.

On Insanity difficulty, the Parlor rewards change to different items, including the R.I.P. Knife — buy the Hip Pouch first on every difficulty.

Don't Leave the Care Center Without Spending Your Coins

You cannot return to the Care Center after completing the quartz puzzle and leaving with Emily. Make sure you've spent all your coins before that point, or you'll have to wait for New Game Plus.

There is no warning in the game when this point of no return is approaching. Check your coin count against your Parlor purchases before progressing past the quartz puzzle.

The One Coin You Cannot Miss: White Locker Warning

One standard-difficulty coin is permanently lost if you trigger an environmental change too early. The coin sitting on top of the white locker must be collected before you push the nearby cart.

Once the cart moves, the locker becomes inaccessible. Collect it on your way through the room — do not push the cart first.

The Roulette Puzzle: How to Unlock the Hidden Coin

One coin in the Parlor requires active participation. At the roulette table, shoot one of the numbers 7, 15, or 29 to place your bet — you'll hear a distinctive sound confirming it's registered.

Then spin the roulette wheel until the ball lands on your chosen number and collect the coin from the table.

Players who don't know the shoot-to-bet step can't trigger it. Several other coins are hidden in breakable containers — a white pitcher on the bureau near the stairway and a breakable vase on a cabinet can both be smashed to retrieve coins inside.

Insanity Mode: Where Coins Spawn Differently

On Insanity, static pickups are largely replaced by enemy drops. The Chef in the Kitchen drops x2 coins, the singing lady zombie in the Bar & Lounge drops 1, the maid zombie drops 1, the blind zombie drops 1, the zombie doctor outside the Waiting Room drops 1, the zombie in the corridor drops 1, and the zombie in the Chairman's Office drops 1.

Additional coins are hidden in containers unique to Insanity: teapots, a blood bucket, a plant pot, a metal bowl by the blender, a toilet, and a drawer.

Two Insanity-only coins also appear in the Wrenwood Hotel — one on the lobby desk's second shelf, one on the street outside.

NG+: Four Coins from Chunk

Chunk drops four Antique Coins in New Game Plus. Defeat him once to receive a charm as the first-time reward, then reload an earlier save and defeat him again — the four coins drop on the second kill, and the charm is found in your item box.

Every Antique Coin is pinned on the Care Center interactive map and, for Insanity-only pickups, the Wrenwood Hotel map, with difficulty tags and room names in the checklist below.

For the upgrades these coins unlock, see the Upgrade guide.
