Each successive tier requires a stronger Pickaxe and higher Mining skill to break efficiently.

Area Rank Scales Deposit Quality

Ginormosia's Mining Deposits scale directly with each region's Area Rank — raising a region's rank at its Tower doesn't just strengthen enemies; it also unlocks higher-tier ore variants and boosts the base Deposit's HP and yield.

Deposits with more HP require repeated, well-timed strikes rather than a single hit to fully deplete, rewarding more materials the more thoroughly a node is worked before it's exhausted.

Rare and Legendary Deposits

Beyond standard ore tiers, several unique Mining Deposits are tied directly to Ginormosia's rarest content: Heart of Darkness and Ancient Fossil both appear as objectives inside high-difficulty Area Challenges, dropping materials used almost exclusively for the game's most powerful crafted equipment.

Legendary Shiny Geode, Golemstone, and the elemental Starcrystals (Water, Earth, Wind) are similarly rare, region-specific finds that feed directly into Legendary Recipe crafting once the corresponding ingredients become available late in the campaign.

Haniwa Stone and Fossil Shard

Two recurring special materials — Haniwa Stone and Fossil Shard — appear scattered throughout Ginormosia in smaller quantities than standard ore, tied to specific settlement quests and Legendary Recipe crafting requirements rather than general equipment upgrades.
