In FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time, Legendary Recipes unlock the game's best endgame equipment — one signature "of Time" weapon or tool for each of the 14 Lives, plus a handful of bonus recipes like the Legendary Feast dish.

Found Early, Crafted Late

Every Legendary Recipe appears as a glowing, bookstand-style pedestal, and nearly all can be picked up as soon as Ginormosia opens up — no combat or story progress required to find them.

The single exception is the Greatsword of Time, locked inside Fort Gardhart and only accessible after obtaining the Crow Feather during Chapter 7 of the main story.

Despite this early availability, actually crafting any of these recipes requires materials that only become obtainable in the game's mid-to-late chapters, since ingredients like Legendary Don Horn are dropped almost exclusively by rare Ginormosia bosses and Treasure Grove encounters.

Two Recipes Require the Mining Life

Two Legendary Recipe locations are physically blocked by rock obstacles that only a Mining stat of roughly 200 or higher can clear.

Switching to the Alchemist's Guild's sister Life, Miner, and equipping a strong Pickaxe before attempting these two pickups avoids a wasted trip if the wrong Life is active on arrival.

A Hidden Second Tier: "True" Weapons of Time

Beyond the base recipe, every "of Time" weapon and tool has a second upgrade layer most players never discover organically — a full in-game tutorial for it only appears after completing the main story.

Simply having a crafted Time-series item in the inventory (equipped or not) and speaking to a Plundering Panther NPC at one of Ginormosia's monster bases grants the upgraded "True" recipe.

Fully upgrading every Legendary weapon and tool this way requires roughly 160 Legendary Don Horns in total — a genuinely long farming commitment reserved for the most dedicated completionists.
