Elden Ring: Gesture Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

As the primary way to communicate with other players and unlock hidden secrets, Elden Ring Gestures are essential for every explorer.

These character poses are found on corpses, given by NPCs, or bought in the Nightreign expansion. They act as the top method for opening magic towers and starting secret quests.

Important Secret Gestures

Some Elden Ring poses are more than just for show; they are required for finding hidden areas:

• Finger Snap: Hear the howling in Mistwood Ruins, then talk to Merchant Kalé in the Church of Elleh. This is the best way to meet Blaidd the Half-Wolf.
• Erudition: Found by giving a spare Academy Glintstone Key to Thops at the Church of Irith. This is the only way to unlock the Converted Towers in Liurnia.
• O Mother: Found on a corpse beneath a withered tree in Bonny Village (DLC). This is needed to open the secret path to the Hinterland at the Shadow Keep Back Gate.
• May the Best One Win: Found on the ground at the Highroad Cross Site of Grace. You must use this to duel the NPC Dryleaf Dane.

Easy-to-Find "Must-Have" Gestures

Grabbing these gestures is an important part of your collection:

• Triumphant Delight: Help Alexander the Iron Jar get unstuck in Stormhill.
• Grovel for Mercy: Spare Patches after his boss fight in Murkwater Cave.
• Bravo!: After beating your first demigod, return to where White Mask Varré was standing at The First Step.
• Spread Out: Bought from Blackguard Big Boggart at the Boilprawn Shack.

2026 Nightreign: Small Jar Bazaar & Bazaar Secrets

The 2026 Nightreign update has changed how you get emotes in the Limveld area.

• Small Jar Bazaar: This is the main hub for the new area. Almost all base-game gestures can be bought here for 200 Runes each. It is the best source for completing your collection in a single run.
• Extreme Repentance: In 2026, using this gesture in the bazaar surprisingly gives you the Slate Whetstone.
• The Scholar's Sight: If you are playing the Scholar class, using the Fancy Spin gesture near Spectral Hawk Trees will briefly mark any nearby hidden Buried Treasure on your map.
