Wuchang: Fallen Feathers: Flawless Red Mercury Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Flawless Red Mercury is the fifth XP consumable tier in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers — a death-safe item that stores a substantial amount of Red Mercury until spent at a Shrine.

It appears in Chapter 3 and 4 areas, bridging the gap between the mid-game Growing and Glistening tiers and the highest-value Crystalized Red Mercury.

The Six Red Mercury Tiers — Where Flawless Sits

All six Red Mercury consumable tiers are death-safe in inventory — unlike raw floating Red Mercury, they cannot be dropped on death:

• Budding Red Mercury — lowest yield (~100–400), Chapter 1
• Growing, Glistening, Full-Grown Red Mercury — mid-tier, Chapters 2–3
• Flawless Red Mercury — high yield, Chapters 3–4 (Mt. Zhenwu and Ruined areas)
• Crystalized Red Mercury — highest yield (~2,750), Chapter 3–5

Flawless Red Mercury is most valuable when consumed with Maddening Incense active — the Bo Blood-powered upgrade that grants a 20% bonus to all Red Mercury gains at 90% Madness.

Holding Flawless Red Mercury items until a high-Madness Incense session maximises their XP yield.

Three Entries Requiring Special Navigation

Invisible bridge at Zhenwu Antechamber — one pickup floats in the air along the hidden invisible bridge. The bridge is only revealed by walking carefully across the empty-looking space near the upper temple exterior. The floating Flawless Red Mercury serves as both a reward and a visual marker for the bridge path itself.

Spike Trap balcony at Zhenwu Antechamber — one entry sits at the end of a balcony behind active Spike Traps. Time movement between trap cycles or equip Frostbite/Corruption-resistant gear if status is a concern in the area.

Tricky ledge at Bamboo Path — the entry is on a ledge not reachable from below. Climb the ladder at the end of the tunnel, turn right immediately at the top, and drop down onto the ledge to collect it. Continuing forward past the ladder top misses this pickup entirely.

The Avian Marsh Fall Warning

One entry in Avian Marsh carries an explicit warning: the pickup is in a burned nest while moving up the roots, and collecting it drops Wuchang to the path below.

Unlike the Crystalized Red Mercury entry in the same area, this is a fall to a lower platform rather than an Inner Demon trigger — the drop is survivable but repositions Wuchang mid-traversal.

Ensure the path below is clear of enemies before picking it up, or be ready to fight from the landing position.

All 16 Flawless Red Mercury Locations in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

Zhenwu Antechamber holds the largest cluster by far — 7 entries across the bottom of stairs, a corner next to a bird-like demon, a corpse at the temple stairs, the Spike Trap balcony end, a temple desk, a small corridor desk, a ground position near a switch, and the invisible bridge float.

Ruined Annalum has 3 entries — behind a garden tree, near a clearing cart, and under a tree.

Ruined Worship's Rise has 2 entries — on the stairs leading to the boss arena and next to a tent in the clearing.

Avian Marsh has 2 entries — the fall-warning nest pickup and a second inside a large tree trunk in front of two enemies. Single entries appear at Bamboo Path (the tricky post-ladder drop ledge) and Ruined Tang Emperor Palace (ground at the end of the terrace).
