Stellar Blade: Fishing Spot Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide
In Stellar Blade, six Fishing Spots scattered across Earth's surviving water bodies offer a quiet break from fighting Naytiba — and one of the game's most distinctive rewards.
Catching 20 of the 25 unique fish species unlocks the Lonely Fisherman trophy; catching all 25 unlocks the Ocean Maid Nano Suit, claimed immediately by speaking to master fisherman Clyde.
All six Fishing Spots are marked across the region maps on MapMaster's interactive maps for Stellar Blade.
Getting Started: The Looking Glass Quest
Fishing unlocks at the Oasis Fishing Spot in the Great Desert, next to Clyde.
Speaking to him triggers the Looking Glass Side Mission, which provides the fishing rod and introduces the four bait tiers — Small Shrimp, Wriggling Insects, Fish Slices, and the rare Fantastic Bait — each suited to progressively larger fish sizes.
How Fishing Works
Equip the rod, select bait, cast, then weaken a hooked fish by holding the stick in the opposite direction while tapping the reel button. A useful tip: enabling "Fishing Controls Replacement" in Accessibility Settings simplifies the minigame considerably — replacing repeated button presses with a single hold input, making the rarer Jumbo-sized catches significantly less frustrating.
Six Fishing Spots, Six Distinct Fish Pools
Each Fishing Spot offers a guaranteed set of catchable fish plus a chance at additional random types, with new species unlocked by purchasing Fishing Data from Clyde using Fishing Points earned per catch:
- Oasis (Great Desert) — the primary hub, with the widest fish pool, including the Jumbo-tier Whale Shark and Dunkleosteus, both requiring Fantastic Bait. The NIKKE DLC adds six additional catchable items here exclusively.
- Clocktower Pond (Eidos 7) — found in a backyard, with strong Fish Slice-tier variety including Halibut, Sailfish, and Pacific Bluefin Tuna.
- Xion Fishing Spot (Xion City) — inside the cave leading toward the Wasteland, primarily Small Shrimp and Wriggling Insect species.
- Northern Cave Lake and South-Eastern Lake (both Wasteland) — overlapping fish pools heavy on Wriggling Insect and Fish Slice species like Salmon and Ocean Sunfish.
- Atelier Fishing Spot (Eidos 9) — the rarest spot, offering the Great White Shark and exclusive access to Arowana and Pirarucu. This Fishing Spot is missable — it only exists if Lily's progress bar was maxed before heading to Spire 4, since Eidos 9 becomes inaccessible on the alternate ending route.
The Fantastic Bait Quest Chain
Catching the largest Jumbo-tier fish requires Fantastic Bait, obtained through a multi-step Request chain starting from the Xion City Bulletin Board, beginning with "Wife's Water Tank" (unlocked after completing Looking Glass) and continuing through "A Gift for a Fishing Maniac" and "Where Is the Fantastic Bait?" Completing the full chain is required before either Jumbo fish at the Oasis can be caught.
New Game+ Note
Players who already earned the Ocean Maid Nano Suit must re-complete Looking Glass in New Game+ before Clyde will speak to them again about fishing rewards — the trophy and outfit unlock are tied to the active playthrough, not a one-time account flag.
