FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time: Material Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

In FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time, Materials are the raw ingredients behind every craftable weapon, tool, potion, and piece of armor in the game.

There are 347 Material locations across the three regions: 29 in Eternia Village, 66 in Capital of Mysteria, and 252 across Ginormosia.

All locations have been documented by our team on our FANTASY LIFE i interactive maps.

Six Broad Material Categories

Materials fall into several recurring types across all three regions:

  • Herbs and weeds — Healweed, Cureweed, Vitalweed, and Alcheweed, gathered for Consumable potions and Alchemy recipes.

  • Flowers — Red, Yellow, and Blue Anthurium, Evening Glory, and Dandelion, used across multiple crafting Lives.

  • Beach items — Little Shell and Sea Shell, common along coastal stretches of every region.

  • Insects — Dragonfly, Beetle, Butterfly, Hopper, Rhino Beetle, and Mysteria Morpho, caught with a Hunter's or Angler's tools rather than picked up directly.

  • Food ingredients — Chicken, Eggs, Mushroom, and Truffle- feeding directly into Cook recipes.

  • Currency and Ginormosia specials — Sack of Silver and Sack of Copper (sellable trade goods), plus Haniwa Stone and Fossil Shard, found exclusively across Ginormosia's open regions.

How to Actually Gather Materials

Most Materials require switching to the matching Gathering Life before they can be collected — a Woodcutter's axe, Miner's pickaxe, or Angler's rod interacts with different node types than a bare hand.

Herbs, flowers, and small pickups like shells and insects can generally be collected regardless of active Life, but higher-value or Life-specific Materials often demand the correct tool equipped first.

Crafting: Recipes Plus Materials

Materials alone don't produce anything — a matching recipe is also required, obtained through quests, Life rank-ups, vendor purchases, or hidden Leafes.

Once both are in hand, crafting happens at any Workbench near a Life Master, where a short action-based minigame determines the final item's quality — faster, more accurate inputs yield better results, while running out of moves before the completion bar fills causes the craft to fail and consumes the materials regardless.
