FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time: Chest Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

In FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time, Chests are the primary source of restorative Consumables, Strangelings, and rare Materials across all three regions.

This guide tracks the confirmed static Chest locations in Eternia Village, Capital of Mysteria, and Ginormosia — including several submitted directly by the MapMaster community, since a small number of Chests genuinely have no permanent location.

All confirmed locations are included on our FANTASY LIFE i interactive maps.

Static vs Random-Spawn Chests: An Important Distinction

Not every chest in Ginormosia has a fixed location. Chests are identifiable by their colour and ornament type:

  • Red Chest, Golden Ornament — a static chest, always found in the same location. These are the chests this guide focuses on tracking.

  • Red Chest, Silver Ornament — a random-spawn chest that appears in different locations across Ginormosia, changing between play sessions. These cannot be reliably mapped.

  • Ulkling Chest (Blue/Silver) — also random-spawn, typically containing restorative Consumables like Potions and Life Cures.

  • Green Chest — contains a Strangeling, making these among the most valuable chests to prioritise when spotted.

Area Rank Unlocks More Static Chests

Raising a region's Area Rank at its Tower can permanently unlock additional Chest spawns in that region.

Once unlocked this way, these Chests continue to appear even if the Area Rank is later lowered — meaning a temporary rank increase is enough to permanently add new Chests to that region's static spawn pool.

Mimics: Chests That Fight Back

Some monster-marked treasure chests in Ginormosia are actually Mimics — enemies disguised as chests, identifiable by a Big Monster icon on the minimap.

These flee when approached and, if not caught quickly, will self-destruct rather than drop loot.

Mimics reward currency items and Treasure Grove Saplings when defeated cleanly, making them worth pursuing on a mount despite the extra effort required to catch them.

Help Expand This Guide

Because a portion of Ginormosia's Chests are genuinely randomised and Ginormosia itself is a massive continent, this list — like similar community efforts across the game's fanbase — continues to grow as players report new static locations. If a Chest is found that isn't yet listed, it can be submitted directly through our interactive maps.
