FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time: Boss Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

In FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time, Bosses are the toughest enemies in the game — the source of rare crafting materials, Master-rank combat progression, and some of the best gear the game offers.

There are 19 Boss encounters total: 18 in Ginormosia and 1 in Capital of Mysteria — Cornella, found near the lake on the plateau. All 19 locations are included on our FANTASY LIFE i interactive maps.

Cornella: The Only Boss Outside Ginormosia

Cornella, encountered near the lake on the Capital of Mysteria's plateau, is the sole Boss found in the game's earlier past-era regions rather than the open continent of Ginormosia.

Being reachable much earlier in the story, Cornella functions as most players' first real introduction to a Boss-tier fight, well before Ginormosia's Area Rank system opens up the remaining 18.

Area Rank 5: The Key to Ginormosia's Bosses

Nearly all Boss enemies in Ginormosia — including named encounters like Prairie Dragon, Napdragon, Legendary Don Woolie, Bouldergeist, and King Woolie — only spawn once a region's Area Rank reaches Rank 5.

Below that threshold, these enemies simply don't appear in the open world at all. Reaching Area Rank 5 in a region is the single biggest unlock for Boss hunting — it also spawns gold-crown enemy variants and rare gathering nodes that were previously exclusive to Treasure Grove dungeons.

Why Bosses Matter: Master Rank and Rare Materials

Defeating Boss enemies is required to reach Master rank in most combat Lives, and several Bosses guarantee drops of rare crafting materials otherwise found only through the game's randomly generated Treasure Grove dungeons — a far less reliable source given their procedural nature.

Prioritising Boss hunts in Rank 5 regions is significantly more time-efficient than farming Treasure Groves repeatedly for the same material.

Some Bosses Appear More Than Once

Several named Bosses — Prairie Dragon, Napdragon, and Legendary Don Woolie among them — appear at multiple separate locations across different Ginormosia regions once those regions individually reach Area Rank 5.

This means encountering the same Boss type more than once isn't a data error; each region capable of spawning that Boss does so independently once ranked up.

Boss Respawn Timer

Like all major enemy spawns in Ginormosia, defeated Bosses respawn on a 5-minute counter, allowing repeated farming of the same encounter for material drops without needing to reset the region's Area Rank or leave and re-enter the map.
