Elden Ring: Ritual Pot Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

An Elden Ring Ritual Pot is an item used for creating advanced, reusable throwables and high-potency bombs like the Ancient Dragon's Bolt Pot or the Giantsflame Fire Pot.

Ritual Pots are usually found hidden within fortified manors, academy libraries, and the randomized reaches of the Nightreign expansion.

The Lands Between: Static Ritual Pot Locations

Unlike cracked pots, Ritual Pots are far rarer, with a maximum capacity of 10 available in the base game. Collecting these is required for high-tier crafting builds:

  • Limgrave (South): One is found on a corpse at the Castle Morne ramparts, near the site where you first encounter Edgar.
  • Liurnia (Academy): One is located in the Raya Lucaria Academy, found in a chest inside the room guarded by a School of Graven Mages near the Debate Parlor.
  • Liurnia (Carian Manor): Purchased for 600 Runes from the Pidia, Carian Servant NPC, found by dropping down from the cliffs above the manor’s Three Sisters region.
  • Caelid (Sellia): One is hidden in a chest within the Sellia, Town of Sorcery, after lighting the braziers to unlock the barriers.
  • Altus Plateau (Auriza Side Tomb): Two can be found within this dungeon; these are essential requirements for dealing with the Omen and gargoyle threats in the region.
  • Leyndell (Subterranean Shunning-Grounds): Found near the Underground Roadside on a corpse guarded by Omen enemies.
  • Mountaintops (Giants' Mountaintop Catacombs): One is located behind a fog door requiring a Stonesword Key.

2026 Nightreign: Limveld Pots

The 2026 Nightreign expansion has shifted the crafting, introducing Spirit-Infused Pots, which interact with the spectral environment of the Limveld region.

  • Limveld Locations: Additional Ritual Pots can be found at the Great Church and within the randomized layouts of the Nightreign Castle.
  • Nightreign Pots: Utilizing the Spectral Hawk Tree network allows you to reach the "Shattered Towers" in the Forsaken Hollows, where Ritual Pots are often stashed in high-tier treasure chests.
  • Scholar Class Synergy: For those running the Scholar build, these pots are the traditional method for applying "Nightglow" status to the Nightlords, significantly reducing their resistances during the third-day boss encounters.

In 2026, you should prioritize the Ritual Pot found in Pidia’s inventory early. The resulting Freezing Pots are great for interrupting Malenia’s "Waterfowl Dance" or halting the aggression of the randomized bosses in the Castle Sewers.

A great strategy for 2026 is to check the Nightreign Castle Library variants; if the library spawns with the "Golden Alchemist" layout, an additional Ritual Pot can be found on the central lectern, increasing your capacity for the Heolstor the Nightlord fight.
