Elden Ring: Minor Erdtree Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

The Elden Ring Minor Erdtree is the primary source of Crystal Tears for the Flask of Wondrous Physick.

Minor Erdtree Locations are marked by towering, golden-leaved trees visible from nearly any point in a region.

They allow players to secure the game’s most powerful passive buffs, including infinite FP, massive stamina regeneration, and elemental damage boosts.

The Lands Between Base Game Trees

Most Minor Erdtrees are guarded by an Erdtree Avatar or a Putrid Avatar. Defeating these bosses is the core method for obtaining specialized Crystal Tears.

• Limgrave (Mistwood): Located in the heart of the forest. Awards the Greenspill (Stamina) and Spiked Cracked (Charged Attacks) tears.
• Weeping Peninsula: Situated on the central plateau. Yields the Opaline Bubbletear (Damage Negation) and Crimsonburst (HP regen).
• Liurnia, East: Found on the high ridge northeast of the lake. Drops Magic, Lightning, and Holy shrouding tears.
• Liurnia, West: Located north of the Converted Tower. Awards the Cerulean (FP) and Ruptured (Explosion) tears.
• Caelid: Situated in the northern dragon-blighted region. Yields the Greenburst (Stamina regen) and Flame-Shrouding tears.
• Dragonbarrow: Located near the Isolated Merchant's Shack. Guards the Opaline Hardtear and Stonebarb (Stance damage) tears.
• Altus Plateau: Found in the central forest. Yields the Crimsonspill and Speckled Hardtear.
• Mt. Gelmir: Guarded by an Ulcerated Tree Spirit. Provides the Leaden Hardtear (Poise) and the definitive Cerulean Hidden Tear (Infinite FP).
• Mountaintops of the Giants: Located on the eastern snowy plains. Yields the Cerulean and Crimson Bubbletears.
• Consecrated Snowfield: Situated in the blizzard-heavy north. Provides the Thorny Cracked and second Ruptured tears.

Shadow of the Erdtree Sapling Transition

In the Realm of Shadow, the traditional Minor Erdtree is often replaced by Scadutree Saplings and the roaming Furnace Golems.

• Scadutree Saplings: These smaller trees are mandatory for obtaining new incantations like "Heal from Afar."
• Furnace Golems: These massive, fire-breathing giants are the key requirements for obtaining DLC-specific tears, such as the Deflecting Hardtear (Perfect Block) and Bloodsucking Cracked Tear.

2026 Nightreign: Limveld Shadow Erdtrees

The 2026 Nightreign expansion introduces Dormant Shadow Erdtrees within the Limveld region.

• Limveld Locations: These trees are found near the Great Church and within the Forsaken Hollows. They do not spawn bosses but instead require "Shifting Earth" events to bloom.
• Nightreign: Resonating with a Dormant Erdtree while a Nightreign Storm is active is the best method for unlocking the Spectral Hawk Potion, which grants limited aerial traversal without a mount.
