In Dragon's Dogma 2, a Vocation Guild is a hub for your identity as the Arisen.

These institutions serve as the primary centers for character customization, where the Discipline (Dcp) you earn from slaughtering monsters is traded for the skills, augments, and entirely new classes that define your playstyle.

Unlike the simple weapon swaps you might perform in the field, Guild Halls are the only locations where you can officially change your vocation or that of your Main Pawn.

While you begin your journey with access to the four basic roles—Fighter, Archer, Thief, and Mage—the Vocation Guild is the gatekeeper to advanced combat.

For instance, the Vernworth Vocation Guild initiates the "Vocation Frustration" quest, a mandatory trial in which you must recover a Greatsword and an Archistaff from the Trevo Mine to unlock the Warrior and Sorcerer classes.

To maximize your efficiency, you should visit a guild head like Klaus in Vernworth or the representatives in Bakbattahl and Checkpoint Rest Town whenever you reach a new rank.

Note that while major cities house dedicated Guild Halls, smaller settlements like Melve often offer vocation services through local Innkeepers.
